Help a newbie out? -Regarding clothing!

Hello everyone

Okay, now being very new to the world of BJDs, I have a few things that still confuse me :c
My question here is regarding 1/6 dolls. When I think of 1/6 size dolls, I think of ones in the 27cm/12" vicinity, like Barbies, some Obitsus, Blythes, ect.
But I'm getting thrown off by YoSDs.

Will clothing for a YoSD fit on, say, a 27cm Obitsu body? Or are their measurements just completely different altogether?

The YoSD size is totally different than 1/6 Obitsu/Volks/Barbie/etc.

They're more like 'children' dolls that are 27cm tall. (So basically, short and chubby.)
Their clothing won't fit the 1/6 'Barbie' sized dolls at all. Well, maybe some tops and skirts with a lot of alterations. But pants will be too short 99.9% of the time. ^^;;

The one with the black hair and red skirt is comparable to a Yo-SD, the others, except the Hujoo in the red hat, are 1/6 scale Obitsus.

Thank you so much both of you! That makes much more sense now, lol. I was a little confused about the whole thing. I guess the 1/6th part only really applies to height then?

Yup! Here's another fun visual example of their differences. A Fairyland Littlefee (same size/dimensions/proportions as a Yo-SD) and a 27cm obitsu:







Just a wee bit of a difference in size. ^.~
