Littlefee question?

Postby coloredimage » Fri Oct 05, 2012 9:43 am

I don't own one, so I'm not 100% sure if I'm putting this in the right place but I have a quick question.

Anyway, my mother has a Littlefee faceplate, but no head back/back plate/whatever it's called. I'm not really sure where to start to look for one for her, as I want to give her one as a part of her Christmas present if I'm able to find one.

So, I had a few questions:

1) What's the correct search term - I seem to be floundering with this.
2) Are there any other places that make them in the Littlefee size?

I feel like I had a third question but I honestly can't remember right now. Anyway, all help is great! I just need a few tips before I start looking in earnest!

I think the general term is headback. I'm pretty sure Fairyland doesn't sell them separately from the bodies, but if you're a member of DOA, you could possibly post a want to buy thread in the MP forums and see if anyone bites.

I haven't heard of any other company that makes headbacks to fit Fairyland faceplates. Every company probably has its own method of attaching faceplates to headbacks, so one from another company might not fit a Littlefee plate. To be honest, you'd probably have an easier time just buying an entire Littlefee body with headback already included than trying to find one on its own. I've seen bodies with headbacks pop up on the DOA marketplace from time to time, so they are out there. Just depends how much you're wanting to spend.

Thanks Stormlight - last night while trying to search for terms via google I kept getting hardware information so I figured I'd ask here before I really started to look around. I didn't think there were other companies that fit but it didn't hurt to ask! I don't know why I didn't even think of the MP (probably because I've never gotten anything off DoA) so I'll look there later this evening.

Unfortunately you'll mostly find people on DoA looking for one instead of selling one. I couldn't find any faceplates with the headback included either. I have been told that Chicline headbacks work, but I never had this confirmed and I can't find confirmation online anywhere either.

Ummm, no Chicline headbacks probably won't work. Littlefee heads are almost the same size as minifee heads, but Chicline heads are only like half the size. There's a different headback that attaches to Chicline bodies via the neck connector, which is supposed to fit the Littlefee plates (and I'm pretty sure it was part of an event when Chiclines were first released, not sold separately), but the Littlefee bodies don't have that neck connector, anyway, so unless you modded one to use an S-hook, it wouldn't work.

Edit: Actually, I just went to the Fairyland site. They DO sell the headbacks for Littlefee plates, but they only fit the Chicline bodies, no others. Here is what they say:

*ChicLine L-Face Connector (for Girl) can be used ONLY on ChicLine female body for supporting LittleFee Faceplate.

There's a similar connector for the boy bodies, too. (They also sell M-connectors for minifee heads).

Perhaps if you got one and modded it somehow to fit an S-hook on a different body? Or commissioned someone to mod it for you? I dunno, but it's probably your best chance to get just a headback (or L-connector as Fairyland calls them).

I've got a Littlefee body w/headback up for sale on DoA and I've had a TON of people PM me to buy just the headback. ^^;
I'm guessing that they are hard to find separate, and in high demand.

Huh, that's funny.

Thanks for the help again! I need to borrow her brush cleaner so I'm going to check what resin color she has then begin my search.
