Lassin the Raccoon Lord

Postby KitKat » Wed Mar 06, 2013 2:56 pm

Ok...this is gonna take a little explaining and back story. Along time ago I wanted to make a custom figure of my Hubby's character, Lassin. The problem is that this character is a anthro raccoon. On top of that he's Shadow Tainted. In other words, even though he is a racoon, his body is all black. A tall order to create. It took me well over 2 years to make, but I've finally finished. For reference he has an obitsu slim body with a modded head from TMNT Shredder.

He's really hard to take pictures of. That black just eats up light.

That's actually really awesome! Oh man now I have ideas for hybridizing animal heads onto obitsu bodies. Did you use a sharpie for the hands? And I love that outfit!

The coloring was ridiculously hard. First I coated him in MSC. Then he got a coat of sharpie. I did that back and forth SEVERAL times...like 10 or so. Then I blushed him with black pastels. Then I sealed him. It took me weeks!!! The hands went through the same process, but I still have to touch up everything once in awhile. Also, the outfit is actually from Tangled, a Disney store doll of the guy. Awesome find.

I'm really happy you guys like him. I went through SO MANY heads with him and three different torsos, because I was experimenting with putting the body.

The sword is from the Cy Girl line and the cigar was an awesome find from , I believe, Monkey Depot. I have no idea what figure the cigar came from, but I love it.

Wow Lois, he turned out awesome. For some reason though, when I see those action poses, I can't help thinking of him saying "Damn you Billy The Exterminator!!!".

-For people who don't know who Billy The Exterminator is, he's this weird exterminator that used to (maybe still does?) have a "reality" show on one of the US cable channels. He practices catch and release relocation with critters like raccoons, squirrels, snakes and such that have moved in to homes and businesses.

He's done! Finally! And it only took how many years and kitchens stained? :P

I get the feeling I really need to see him in person.
