So yeah, I've completed my project of repainting all of the first Wave Monster High sculpts asides from Deuce and making them look as Japanese styled as possible, lol. Unless I get a Jackson body for Griffin (as it matches better) and thus Deuce gets his body back, I'm happy to say that I repainted Wave One of Monster High.

My favourite to repaint is Lagoona just because I think she's one of my best copies I've attempted xD

The worst was definitely Cleo. She's just so uninspiring to repaint with her pointy sculpt and boring skin tone.

I really wanna add more boys to the group, but they're just all so... boring bases to repaint. *cries* But yeah, I still have to eventually track down Spectra, Abbey, Clawd, Jackson and a Deuce body...




So yeah, Frankie Chan and Holt Kun are my new nicknames for them since they're so Japanese-y now, haha...


Lols yeah. I noticed that Frankie has more of a squareish face than the other MH girls, which is interesting (I'll put together a chart of these faces eventually).

Um, yeah. I decided to not do a Momoko face since I already had three that were done in the three respective faces of Momoko... So I googled Vintage Japanese dolls and came across a Jenny/Licca friend named Nana and of course I copied the face.

I also gave her a much smaller scar cuz I wanted her to match her body but not have it so... dominating.


Lols yeah, I decided to give her pink lips since I failed at green lips ;_;


I actually am proud of the line work especially since my paintbrush is dying ;_; I should replace it soon but all the shops I go to run out the kind I get ;_;


However I do love her face and how different she is.




Yeah School's Out Frankie is feeling a bit left out... I can't wait to get Dead Tired Draculaura and Ghoulia to hang out with her...

Um, yeah. Stupid Holt. Took me several times to repaint him when I thought "Screw it~!"


Annoyingly, there's a few defects where his tattoo was so.. yeah. He has black marks there, grr.


Also I LOATHE his eyebrow ring, but it's glued it. I hate it so much. All guys I know with an eyebrow rings are the biggest Deuce-bags in the world and I hate having a doll with one.


I do like his Michael Jackson outfit though...

Lols he kinda looks like a J Pop singer or something now...

I should change his clothes but they're not as douchey looking as Deuce's was xD




I'm debating on making them a couple or not... Though since the webisodes say so and plus I got them together, it'd be silly to break them up now xD


Lols ignoring the fact I won't have Spectra/Abbey for a few months or that I still haven't redone Deuce yet...

But it's interesting to see that each doll does have a distinct yet similar sculpt and it's probably the only reason why I decided to gradually buy each doll to customize...

I agree with Evelin, I'm really fond of your Cleo as well, she seems so, urban-y if that makes sense.

I want to repaint my Ula D's eye as they're incredibly unsymmetrical but I would completely kill the poor doll so I don't think I will.

Lols so a green family reunion appears to be happen when Marcel meets his cousins Elphie, Frankie-chan and Francesca.

No one is sure how they're all related but there's some resemblance there ;D


I don't think Frankie-chan is too impressed by this.
