Anyone know what doll this dress comes from?

Barbie, Jenny, Fashion Royalty, Obitsu and 1/6 resins - basically anything 10-12inch/21-27cm or in the neighborhood.

Anyone know what doll this dress comes from?

I know it's Barbie, but there are a whole bunch of Chinese-inspired Barbies, so I don't know which one. Or, better yet, maybe you might know where I can find this outfit, preferably for under $20? I saw this on Ebay and I love it, but I'm not spending $35 for it.

Edit:Image

(Probably helpful if I actually show you the dress...lol)

S'Alright...Looks like it might come from one of the Dolls of the World but it may be from a discontinued Disney doll...The dragon looks a lot like an outline of Mushu from Mulan...

I'm honestly unsure. ^^; It's stunning though.

Honestly it almost looks like a Chinese doll, that I can never remember the name of the brand, but they had amazing 1/6th kimonos and Chinese dress.
A hobby isn't supposed to leave you wistful, regretful and vaguely disappointed. BJD collecting is as customizable as the dolls themselves. Do whatever pleases you the most, because otherwise, why do it at all? All for the 'Gram Bitches love the 'Gram.

It's such a lovely outfit. I always really wanted Imperial Beauty Mulan, but she was always priced a bit high for her quality, IMO. And my cross-dressing Mulan makes more sense character wise. :) The beauty-party themed Mulan dolls are an abombination.

Sometimes the best thing about a doll is the clothes she's wearing... XP But if these companies think they can get people to pay a lot of money for what they tell everybody is a collector doll, then they will. I haven't seen the beauty party Mulans, but now I gotta look them up! Morbid curiosity I guess? XD

I don't remember Mulan being unhappy about "dressing up" so much as she doubted herself because she klutzed out so epically. She felt her beautiful dress and makeup were a lie and that she could never be truly beautiful. She discovers through the course of the movie that beauty comes not from what others think but from within herself. While she definitely rose to the occasion and proved herself a capable fighter, I feel she only dressed like a guy because that is what it took to get the job done. If they had accepted women I am sure she would have gone as a woman and still kicked butt. One of my top pet peeves is when people think that someone can't be both "girly" and a warrior as if they are somehow mutually exclusive.
