My Dark Grey Freya in Homeade Clothes

Postby LiveLoveYarn » Sat Mar 09, 2013 7:40 pm

Here is my Dark Grey Freya (still to be named) in a hand knit sweater I made for her and the first sewn dolly item I have had moderate success with :) I'm going to do a separate post in the creations section to talk more about the clothes, I just wanted to show off a little :P

Image

I'm not sure this is her "final" outfit but I do like it quite a bit. I am hoping to do her face-up pretty soon, if it will just stop snowing!! It will be my first one so I'm a little nervous. I'm thinking she might be a little stripey. These also might not be her eyes. I ordered them by accident. I wanted her to have golden eyes like my cat Cookie Dough. These ones, however, are growing on me.

Her character is developing slowly but surely.

What a cutie! I really like how the purple stripe on her shirt matches her skirt. :) The purple also goes well with her green eyes!

Why thank you!! You are so sweet. I was knitting human sized things for a long time before I started knitting dolly stuffs. I admit that the small needles and yarn took a bit of getting used to, and require a little more experience, but I love it :) I alwyas have tiny needles on me. Knitting is about rhythm I think, once you find the rhythm you're good to go, you can knit the world.
