Skipper head on a Obitsu?

I finally managed to get the obitsu body I wanted for Letty, and figured out how to transfer Letty's head on her new body(that's probably the oddest sentence I've ever written, lol). Now Letty's old Skipper body is on my poor used to be leg-less Shelby who is also very happy with the swap. Now not only does Letty have the older teen look I was going for, but I also can't put her down, she's too fun to pose !

I'm totally a noob at photographing and stuff, but I hope the picture turned out okay. I have like no lighting in my room at all and it was late when I took the picture. Oh and I should add that I bought Letty with her hair cut (it was also very brittle and likes to break off now and then) so I bought her a wig which she's been pretty much wearing since. I have another wig for her, but I like this one best. Letty's my only doll with a poseable body who also wears wigs, I think my other dollies might be jealous.

About 3 posts into my first time on the forum and I already see John! *waves* It's Korianne! I found the forum when you posted about it on tumblr!

Anyway, Skooter looks pretty good on the 25cm. I'd like to see how she fit into the standard Skipper vintage and modern clothing. Are there any other articulated Skooters/Skippers out there that look decent? I actually love the vintage Skipper body, but I'm very curious more options as Skippers make up the majority of my vintage collection.

Letty looks TOTALLY cute. I love her outfit and hair style. That little hand wave is just too cute. Not too bad at posing for a beginner photographer! Great job!

I'm very tempted to put my Skooter head onto a pure neemo body as it's a bit chubbier than the Obitsu body and keeps the same height. It's been used for Liccas and Blythes which can swap clothes with Skipper so yea. But honestly I haven't found a decent Skipper height body since they tend to be Bratz thin (like Obitsu and the new Stacie body).

Oh that could be cool, yeah a bit more pudge would help her be more believable. I think I've seen it used for Blythe before but I'm not sure if I have seen it for Licca. I'd love to see your Skooter on the pure neemo though. Do let me know if you test it out. I'm still in love with the flat chested Skippers of days past but I wish they had more posability.

I decided to get all my girls out to show off Letty in some of her old clothes some more. Believe it or not, but Letty's old clothes are almost too big for her now(I got the small bust and well, obitsu's really aren't as filled out as Skipper's). In fact I think my normal Skooter(my Midge's sister, because they just look too much alike) won the contest of who wore it best when it came to her and Letty's swimsuits, though she can't make the sassy poses Letty can.

I again apologize for the sucky-ness of my photos but I was in a rush with these ones. Also in the photos the color differentiation between Letty's head and body seems far more vast than it does in real life, in case anyone was wondering. And thanks for all the kind words everybody.

Oh and on a side note, Letty changed her hair again, she can be a bit of a fashion queen barbie wanna-be/hair hopper at times.

Skooter's making a sassy pose too, you just can't tell. But at least her hair's modest, and her bathing suit still fits like a charm after nearly fifty years:

Well there are the early seventies Skippers, like Living Skipper and Pose n' Play Skipper, and I heard that Mattel came out with a Skipper with articulated arms just a little while back. I haven't heard about any other than that, but I'm sure there's probably more.

All but one of mine are Teen Skippers and Courtneys from the 90s and most of them have the big eyes like Jenny and Licca dolls from Japan. I've been looking for replacement bodies for them that will fit the tons of clothes I have for my girls. The Obitsu 25cm is close but the soft body might stain from the clothes. The face mold changed a couple of times to be more in line with the rest of the Barbie family. Then Skipper got taller and taller and that was the end for me.
