I apologize but who is Kari Michelle? Name sounds familiar but really can't place it. Is that a Big Lots only item?

To my knowledge it's no one in particular, just a name on a line of fashion dolls with neat clothes. In the US they usually show up at Big Lots discount stores around Holiday time and come from the same company that makes the Power Team Elite figures.

I saw the guy on the motorcycle and a left over Green Beret that looks just like mine at a Big Lots. The motorcycle guy is a different sculpt than what I have, resembles the one I call Rutger but a different hair cut, and his uniform looks like the digital combat universal print.

I had been wondering about how Kari Michelle stuff fits Obitsus. Good to know it's useful, even though I imagine that the fit can be a little "hit or miss" like most fashion doll stuff.

I really wish I had bought more Power Team stuff "back in the day". KB Toys (when there still WAS a KB Toys) sold a lot of the big sets and vehicles in their Toyworks and outlet mall locations back in the mid-2000s. The Humvee was much better proportioned and engineered than the 21st Century Toys version from a few years earlier, even though both have almost the same "footprint" and are very close in size.

Anyway, if finances allow, I'd love to pick up a few of the $12 boxed figures this year. Of course, me being the weirdo I am, I would REALLY love it if M&C would sell their Chinese market figures here. Other than some high priced and "iffy" eBay auctions, that's only source I've seen for modern PLA small arms and gear.

Thanks for the info. I love those clothes. Very nice and stylish. I imagine since they are sold at Big Lots, that they aren't too expensive. More things to add to my buy list. :)

Oh! I saw that clothing set! I was so tempted to get it, but then I turned over the box and read at the bottom:
"WARNING: CONTAINS UNSAFE LEVELS OF LEAD"

xD; That took me by surprise. haha

...So I put back the pack. I figured that what had lead was the chain on the purses...but better safe than sorry. LOL

I'm not a lead expert but you're probably right with it being on the chain or the painted parts of the purses or shoes. It's been vending machine jewelry and paint on soft rubber toys people have been worried about.

Could it be on the clothes themselves? I have a good half dozen sets for a couple of years and never saw, or bothered to look, for lead warnings.

Lead shouldn't hurt you as long as you don't put it in your mouth and wash your hands good after handling it. Resin is supposed to be slightly toxic too.

0o eep not a good thing to hear for someone considering to get their first BJD... but isn't it only if you sand it or something other wise it's safe?

You don't plan on putting it in your mouth do you? As long as you just handle it like normal and don't breathe in any dust when you sand it you should be okay. Oh and I'd wash my hands before putting them in my mouth anyways since it is kinda gross not to after all the things you touch.
