I know your pain, we have dial-up as well. What I usually do is load the images one at a time (I use Firefox, so I just right-click somewhere on the page, View Page Info, go to Media, and then copy-pasta the image links into separate tabs), which makes things quicker.
I made these as small as I could and still be able to see the details. On the left is Sideshow's Spike on the old Art S. Buck body. It's quite posable, but looks kinda funny without any clothes on, though it looks much better when you put a shirt on him. On the right is Toynami's Tenchi Muyo!, which is older than Spike, I think. His body is alright, but very fragile around the hips. I think Toynami only did a couple of guy figures, Tenchi and Inuyasha that I know for sure (Inuyasha was limited to 5000). Inuyasha's body is much sturdier than Tenchi's, but Inuyasha is limited by his giant roto-casted hair in the posing department.
They've got about the same amount of neck range right and left.
Tenchi's got Spike beat forwards and back though. No shot of Spike leaning forward (the same as just facing front). If you bend his chest joint forward, you can get him to look down some.
And from the sides. I forgot to get one of Tenchi looking down from this side (The camera refused to focus of either of them for this shot. Instead, we get a nice shot of Inuyasha and Ed in the background. Inuyasha is actually taller than Ed, he's just in a crouchy action pose right now
).
And a size comparison with my 27cm normal bust girl (Maimimi only agreed if she could show off her miniature boat. She refuses to put it down!
)
Of course, there are a ton of different bodies out there. If you can grab one cheap, Sideshow's are pretty decent. ToyAnxiety.com used to have several Buffy figures parted out pretty cheaply ($15 to $30 for a body and head depending on who). I really know more about different girl figures, but most of the guys with this style neck have about the same posing there (maybe a little more or less forwards and back), as far as I can tell.
Hope this helps!
