That is adorable. And pear shaped. She'd be on my wish list if it weren't for the hands.

I wouldn't let something like molded on gloves stop me from a doll I wanted, ask Svetlana how many bodies she's had. They might be able to wear Monster hands. You can always paint them. It looks like they have the same feet and lower arms.

The hands (at least the right hands) look identical so yeah - thrift store MH finds should be able to replace the EverAfter hands.

Who knows, maybe the other monsters want to borrow her gloves. :) Although I'm trying to not pick a favorite yet, I'm limiting myself to one and this is just the first wave...

(Monsters don't tend to show up in thrift stores at all here... I think they're still too expensive for anyone to want to give them away for free.)

You could paint the hands as a last resort. But yeah, according to reports, the hands are swappable between monsters and princesses but the EaH peeps dont have forearms that come off. Also there's the option of buying another doll for the hands and selling it off with the undesired hands. There's always a customizer who wants a second hand doll to mess around with lol.

Mattel only ships replacement parts to north america, and I don't think there are any that match her skin tone anyway. :(

...look at me, the dolls are hardly out yet and I'm already complaining. :D Anyway, there's a pretty in-depth review of Maddie up on ToyBoxPhilosopher. http://www.toyboxphilosopher.com/2013/07/ever-after-high-madeline-hatter-by.html

I picked up the four of them at Justice, Im not sure about them really. I love the repaints Ive seen. I feel their default makeup makes them too flat looking. Plus I wish their heads were more shaped to how they are in the animation/illustrations. I do like the more thicker bodies for them. I might try a couple heads one but Im unsure about if Im going to open them right now.

Their packaging is amazing, but Im not sure how Im going to go after them like I do the MH's. Alot of it has to do that Im a big horror fan and each MH just looks unique in their faces & molds, where these EA dont seem to be, so well see.

I really wish they had done the EAH faces a bit different. At the very least I wish Maddie had more of a smile with her teeth showing or something. XD But Justice was having a decent sale so I ordered Maddie and Raven from their website this morning since Maddie was finally in stock again. XD I missed out on Swim Class Holt by an hour or so though. -_-

Thanks for the heads up. First time I tried to order from Justice, they were all sold out, but I was able to order Apple & Raven this evening. I'm hoping that since Justice has them on sale, it means maybe Mattel will release them to some other stores now.
Just because you CAN doesn't mean you SHOULD.
