In short, it's the opposite of cross-eyed. I made a handy chart:

I usually associate crossed eyes with confusion, and walled eyes with absolute blissed out glee. (Or an empty mind... )

I think some of mine are slightly walleyed, but its not too bad. the eyes are too big to center the eyes suing the mouth, unfortunately.

Maybe in the past, but nowadays we have a more cemented view of derp-eyes.
