KnittnKitten do you use watercolor pencils or just regular colored pencils for your face-up's? Also I would love to see a tutorial. I wanna try customizing a face-up soon so that'd help a ton.

I find prismacolor pencils work well because they are soft, but I do have a few watercolor pencils that I dampen and use a little. frankly I have what can be considered a "pile" of various brands and kinds, but I think prismas are prolly the best.

anyway http://sketchbook-toybox.tumblr.com/pos ... nster-high has my tutorial, prlly the most popular thing I have ever posted on tumblr. just remember to seal inbetween each step. I guess I should do a lip tutorial at some point.

Got it. Thanks I'll be sure to pick some up. I'm a lot better with doing eyes on paper with pencils so definietly easier....I also have water color pencils I can probably use the white and dampen it to get the white of the eye.

I'll check that out too.

That looks awesome so far! it's so funny, because I was looking at my feather stash the other day and thinking "wouldn't it be cool to make a wig out of feathers?"
