I sowwy Lamia! I wanted to. I knew SOMEONE was looking for them, but I had to get to the dealership before it closed, so I could get everything settled. If I see her again, I'll try to grab her.

magkelly wrote:No, I don't have one of those as yet, those Brites. This one was black vinyl with red center. Major Operetta colors, very retro like a real record. I'm thinking it might have been a Liv. Thought it was Fallen Angel Stardoll for a sec there but I just looked her up and no, she had a heart shaped black purse. Darn, I hate when I do that, forget which doll owns what. I hardly ever do that. I'm like Miss Photographic Memory when it comes to my dolls and their gear but I honestly cannot remember now!!! Give me a bit. It will come back to me. It was pretty recent. All I have to do is go and look on the shelves and mentally review what dolls I've bought in the past year and what they wore in the box and I'll figure it out. For some reason I've got the Liv red color doll in my head but I don't think that's it either. Maybe a Daniela? Hold on while I hunt that freakin thing down....

AH, that's it. It's a Liv doll. Dancing Daniela!!!!!

It seems the Liv Brights reused the mold from that Daniella. I have the brights version and I have seen the Operetta outfit in the store and the molds are different (the Monster High one is smaller) but it is still neat that both lines visited the same concept. I wonder if such record purses are a real item that is in style.

probably. it's "retro fashion" so i can imagine they're popular in the rockabilly crowd.

That's what I was thinking when I saw Operetta, where's her Stray Cats poster? If her father is the Phantom of the French opera it makes you wonder how she ended up southern? Or is her father Winslow Leach of the Paradise and Phoenix is her mother? Or is he the Phantom of the Grand Old Opery?

Kudos for the designers for looking in to niche markets they can draw in to the dolls. Tell me Robecca Steam isn't aimed at the Steampunk crowd?

The official story is that the Phantom moved to New Orleans while she was little and that he really can't stand her style of music.

That's kind of adorable. I need to look up these characters back stories a little more.

I've seen Cleo in stores, the Dead Tired version, and I started looking for ones online. It seems like the older versions of her are a little lighter in skin tone. Is this true or just bad photo lighting?
I've decided against the CAM Vampire for my custom (just too pink), and I'm probably going to go with Cleo, because she seems to have the lightest shade of a normal skin tone.

Saw two Draculaura basics, all of the 1600 dance girls, cupid, skull shores, school's out, all new outfit packs, new two torso CaM, etc... I was happy to see the older lines back. I hope they are this easy to find in other stores I visit. : ) Now to find the illusive Gil and Clawd. :/
