Who are these Twyla and Gigi characters? I feel so out of the loop on monsters! I bought that Deuce Gorgon, and I just scored a Catriss two weeks ago, and I haven't had time to open either of them... Plus it feels a little disloyal when I haven't unpacked the rest of my monsters yet.

Don't feel bad, OkamiKodomo! I haven't really done anything with mine in months. I checked out the new girls a couple of months ago, so this info may be out of date:
Twyla and Gigi are from the upcoming movie line. It centers around Howleen finding an old lamp in the school and releasing Gigi the Genie's Daughter who grants 13 Wishes (The name of the movie and line). Twyla is the daughter of the Boogeyman, but instead of causing nightmares, she takes them away so people have good dreams. Not sure how she fits in, but she's adorable! She's lilac with grey wispys on her hands/arms and feet with dream catcher/spiderweb motif clothing.

Last I checked, there is going to be a new Howleen (with long pink wavy hair), Twyla (looks to be on the smaller body like Howleen), Gigi, and a restyled Lagoona, who is now a fresh-water monster instead of salt-water (Bright yellow hair and deeper blue skin.). They're all coming with diaries and pets (Gigi's is a purple scorpion and Twyla's is a lilac dust-bunny!)
There's also going to be a dressed-up line with Clawdeen, Frankie, and Draculara all dolled up for the party at the end of the movie (presumably).

There will probably be more dolls (exclusives) and maybe playsets, but that's all I know. I think they're supposed to launch around July, but you never know with Mattel.

I need to take more (actually good) photographs of the monsters, since I only have a few at the moment that have come out, but I think I've got everyone represented...

Image
My Jackson and Operetta are a couple... here they are on the big red recliner (it's one of the only places in the house that I can take photos when it's dark out).

Image
Photos taken in my bedroom almost never come out very well, but this is where they 'live', scattered about the bookshelf. Corbin and Pierre Alain. Pierre stays bald, Corbin will have his default wig after I get his face cleaned up a bit and steal it back from Felicity, who took possession of it...

Image
Leon and Feli-- wearing matching hair. I got the extra torso and vamp wig from my aunt, who just wanted the gargoyle boy (and wanted him bald), so Leon will eventually wear his default hair and give one of these wigs back to Corbin, but I stuck it on him because it was easier to access at the time. Their spot on the shelf.

Image
Ghoulia and Vasilisa, close up to cut out the clutter, because there's a lot of craft junk and Christmas wrapping in the background. They've been hanging out on the shelf, too.

Image
Twins on the big red photo-taking recliner. I definitely need to take better pictures of them...

Anyway, that's my collection.

Entertainment Earth has a lot of pre orders including classroom packs with Heath and Abbey and Cleo and Ghoulia. If the assortment turns out to be 2 of each pair I might be open to a split. As much as I want a Heath I don't want a full case of my own.

There's play sets, dolls with shoes, all sorts of stuff coming out for the summer most to do with the 13 Wishes movie.

Hey is anyone still looking for Catrine De Mew or any of the other dolls? They have a crap load of them at my local WalMart and I'd be willing to pick up a few if anyone's willing to pay me the price for the doll+shipping it wouldn't be any trouble to me. I'd be only able to ship USA only though.

Just wondering if anyone has any MH projects they're working on. My Most ambitious project has to be my Centaur though I do have a bunch of repaints to get through...

Just reroots backing up because of the whiplash. Got any suggestions for metallic hair outside of using metallic colors? I have a couple of robo girls I want to do.

I can't wait to see those finished. I wish you had been around more awhile back, I was in need of an Australian book and would have gladly traded Monster stuff to get it. Shipping wouldn't have been an issue, it was just getting a copy of the book because we can't get it or the e-version here.

Well I know someone rerooted a Robecca using super thin wire and styling it nicely. That's an option:

And drats, I guess I got sucked into real life for a long while back then but I'm slowly working my way into dolls again heh.

With you there Kd, ever since my medication change I've been like "What are my hobbies again? "

A few weeks back I scored the CAM Siren for $15 on Amazon with Prime shipping. That made me very happy because before she was like $25!

Wow on all the Monster dolls. I only have a couple that are in the middle of makeovers but only two that I have a pictures of what they will look like done.

I have the CAM Witch doll and plan to turn her into Lilly Munster. Here's the concept art.

And then I also have two of my CAM Vampire boys going through a color change at the moment. But this is the only one I have a picture of between them, and the body he came with.

My Deuce is getting hair at a friends house soon who can fix the hole in his head where the snakes were attached. For him I resculpted his face a little.

Jackson will be getting a color change as well eventually.

I have the CAM Puma boy who I changed the skin tone on to a dark AA. He is also at a friends house getting his neck mod so he will fit onto a Kumik AA body. And he will be getting burn scars while he is there.
The pen is mightier than the sword.... Unless this is a sword fight.
