good to know. i'm not too concerned since it's just a for-goofs doll anyway (will end up being a zombie)

I saw these on Amazon last night...

So far they are hideously expensive but I would imagine that would change as they get more widely released. There's about 5 or six characters so far, including Robecca and Operetta. Nothing locally as yet though.

Try a Toys R Us store, I got my dance Robecca from them for $15 each. I have Howleen too, her hair is Barbie pink. Passed ont he others as I didn't need the dolls and didn't want the stuff that much.

TRU here is a long, long drive. I go about 2X a year maybe. It was just an FYI mostly because I hadn't seen them. There are about 5 more MH kids on my list that I want but when I get 13 of them that's probably it. They're too expensive for me to want a ton of them. I still want a Spectra, a Skeleton Girl, maybe Rochelle, and the Snow Brite Draculaura. Maybe Venus's next incarnation if they make one and she doesn't have the side hawk. But at $20 an up a pop I'm not going to be buying more unless I start seeing them thrift or flea market and that's just not happening from what I can tell.

Be careful with that stuff! We used it to remove some odd grey stains off of our Medicom Edward Elric's face... and he started turning highlighter yellow. It took a couple of months, and luckily it only started doing it around the base of his neck, so it wasn't really noticeable. I think we got most of it out and stopped it from spreading (I'd have to check) with some alcohol.

Eee. Sounds like what it does to the old MLP. It's worked PERECTLY on a lot of dolls I've tried it on but one of my ponies has a little yellow spot instead of a purple one now. ^_^;; Plastic is so danm testy. It's like you never know 100% what each type will do.

I think Venus is always have that hair look because they released promo pictures of her next doll (Swimsuit) and she's got the "side hawk" but this time in a pony tail.

On another note: I beg you advance face-up artists, HOW. HOW do you get the eyes to look so real? I spent all day on a Clawdeen head and I cannot get that real eye look to work... but arg, I'm using low quality paint (read: craft paint) cause it's all I can afford right now, so is that my problem? >:/ Very frustrating to paint on some eyes then go online to just take a break and find all these customs with BEAUTIFUL EYES ;A;

If your paint is working it's not the quality, it's you. Draw/paint lots and lots of practice eyes so you get used to making them. I had an oil painting class and draw/paint people so I've been doing eyes forever.

I took step by step pics when I did Monster style eyes if it helps. http://dolfielittles.typepad.com/blog/2 ... ectra.html

I know there lots of practice involved-I'm just frustrated >_< I've looked at a number of tutorials and none really show you how the artist got to the finished product. It's like a step between step x and step y is missing, and I would just love to know how they were accomplishing the look :U

According to the forum, Plastic Curves' upper limbs for the CAM skeleton are postponed until after Skelita comes out and will be based on her: http://plasticcurves.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=requests&action=display&thread=53. I would have prefered it if they'd developed their own design, but I guess there's only so much you can do with a femur anyway.
