Aaaargh, I'm jealous of all of you. The prices over here are approx. $38 for a basic monster and about $28 for Skull Shores or CAM add-ons... XP

I was just on Amazon.com and I saw the Harpy add-on. O_O Must...resist...urge.... OH GOD THE PRICE ON IT. $49?! Jeeze >_< Bad enough I'm asking for a $60+ doll outfit for Christmas (High time Tallulah got real clothes.. if I can actually get it that is)

Wait till Holidays are over. Then Monster Hunt.

I caved and pre ordered a set of Scaris, no word who the 6th doll in the case is yet. The price of the dragon alone convinced me I'd feel better paying retail and getting 4 extra dolls to be stuck with. They don't sell as-is I mug and reroot 'em. I have the new CAM add-ons, and there will be 2 new starter sets too, on my wish list.

Entertainment Earth does have a pre order for new starter CAMs, I think it's 2 of each in the case so if anyone orders I might be up for a split.

Meanwhile when you're wanting new Monsters you might as well make them. I have the parts to make 1 more but didn't feel like it this time around.

Can i just... can I just continue to gripe at how horrible Indonesia factory quality control is? Because it's perpetually horrible. I probably had to grabbed 5 different dolls before I found a Cleo and Abbey that were not victims of smeared makeup or a face full of hair clippings. Cleo's hair tinsel is pretty awful right out of the box and looks like it was already attacked by a small child. Not to mention, while brushing their hair out gently I was also having small chunks of hair pull right out!
but I mean, as awful as the quality is, the outfits are super and i like how there is this tunic-dress thing with leggings going on, and belts. <3 I am very tempted to paint Cleo's nails. It is like she is begging for a manicure. lol

It also looks like Cleo dolls are going to perpetually have the GB hands. I don't really have a problem with it, I'm just noticing how almost every new doll of hers now just has the default GB hands and not the First Wave hands.

Amazon has new outfits for $10 each, going rate, free shipping. Check them for dolls too, they can be pretty reasonable compared to elsewhere.

Ohmahgoodness! I managed to snag a Jinafire!! I have been lurking like nobody's business because I've been so busy, with the holidays and everything... bosslady likes to give me shorter shifts so she can have me work more days, and it's been burning me out... plus the major writing project I've been working on with a friend... ANYWAY! I was at Walmart to cash my paycheck and as usual, swung passed the toy aisle. They must have just restocked the monsters, because the shelf was full. I already told myself that the only things I would spring for are mainline Abbey, Jinafire, or the three eyed ghoul CAM pack... And lo and behold, there was one lonely Jinafire all the way at the back of the shelf. Better believe she came home with me!

EDIT ok here we go. These pictures suck because I have yellow light, and the tungsten filter wasn't enough, while the white balance filter turned them blue... Anyway.


Ignore my clutter. Jinafire is a very nice bronzy golden. She has a shimmer to her, like Nefara does.


She has scales like the CAM dragon girl, but none of those fins on her legs. I think they go over her torso too, but I haven't undressed her to check yet. I know I saw some on her neck.



Her shoes are very cute. I plan on painting the coin on the tassel gold.



Her little hair piece is odd, but cute. There's a little face in the detachable gold flower.

And here we have the pics with the white balance filter.

She has the same little tassels as earrings. Adorable. And her make-up is pretty.


Too bad she's a little wall-eyed. She'll be getting repainted regardless, but I don't know if that's a factory defect, or the regular paint job.


Very cute details on her trunk. It opens and the handle collapses into the case.

Ooh, I love the Jinafire! Very pretty!
I managed to snag a Howleen myself on my day off. She is ridiculously adorable! She came in a set with Clawdeen, who I plan on repainting and selling.
Can I just say that I love the fact they made Howleen not just smaller, but thicker too since she's younger? I love that they thought to do that. I actually prefer the weight it gives the doll compared to the normal ones. I can't wait to repaint her, but it'll have to wait til I've finished a couple others first >__<
