I don't see elbows and knees, it's just how the arms are angled and they're bent to begin with. As for clothes it's nothing to put a cloth top over a painted on top. Maybe they're wearing painted on bathing suits?

So far I'd be in the rework a Monster boat. I've even seen Monsters with Pony heads on them that look better.

It doesn't look painted on - it looks molded the same way the Barbie ones are and I don't like the way they look. Molded tops would change the way fabric lays and with many tops would show through. Not interested.

I was able to purchase a Rarity EQ doll on Amazon.com (they're all gone now! Why?!) and she should arrive Mon/Tues. They didn't have Applejack, so I'll have to search for her in stores or on eBay. I saw one or two on eBay but the price was double so I think I'll wait to check out local Wal-Marts or when eBay has more options of her. ^^

As soon as Rarity arrives, I'll take some owner photos of her. I just hope her face is decently painted and not 'wonky' in any way. (That's one bad point of buying online---you can't pick the 'nicest' one. You just get what they send you.) Hopefully, no issues on her faceup will occur.

It seems like Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash are the only 2 deluxe versions with jointed arms and legs. Too bad not all of them!!

This hi res image of The Deluxe Fluttershy shows she has elbow joints so that's pretty cool, she's at least has more joints.

And it seems she's shorter than Howleen so yeah, but it seems likely they'll be hybrid-able with MH bodies without looking too weird.

Also the big deal breaker. No feet, grr.

huh....I was wanting one until I saw the picture without feet. It's a bit disturbing. It would be annoying to be stuck always having to keep those boots on.

I do think the jointed ones are kind of cute- as tiny as they are, they'll make good young monster customs. (or, as someone on FB put it, 'Monster Junior High')
