Nabbed a Toralei from Target last night, finally! Almost had two, but was distracted and placed one of the two boxes on the shelf, and a few minutes later when I went back... it was gone, of course! This one is my mothers, she thought Tora was soooo cute!

My Scarah came in, she matches Frankie quite well but seems just the slightest bit brighter.

Pictures from NYCC are starting to show up on Flickr! Viperene is surprisingly pretty (those with snake phobias might want to pass) and the Art Class assortment is going to be hard to resist. Abbey. Has.A.Chainsaw. (it makes sense in context) Love the Coffin Bean girls, too.

Holy Sh-! I just scored a Scarah Screams I Love Fashion doll and it wasn't being sold for scalpers prices!!!! Guess I won't be turning a Frankie into one after all, hehe. Not too shabby! We will be repainting her lips to match the original con doll though. The pink lips do absolutely nothing for me. All that's left on my want list now is the 3 boys. Jackson, Holt and Clawde. I could live with just Jackson on that score but I would not mind the other two if they ever released them as basics and I actually ran across them...

I hope I can check out the Monster High booth next year. Myrretah goes to help her publisher or to run her own table, and apparently, she's been ordered to bring me next year.

On another note, I finally caved and bought Catty Noir. WalMart had about half a dozen on the shelf so I got her. I am considering it a birthday gift to myself, since by the time my birthday rolls around at the end of the month, I probably won't be able to afford her.

I did not need to hear about Abbey having a chain saw, we have a distinct lack of chainsaws around here. It makes the struggle to pre order or not that much harder. It's not the saving for them it's being stuck with extra dolls that might just sit around in their boxes.

*Love the internet, alas the art class isn't that interesting. I think the only thing I'd half want of the next batch is Jane Boolittle's pet sloth. Mini Cooper wants one.

I like the pearlized eyes for Scarah. It's so much better than just looking at blank white. Might have to try that. MH dolls they look so different with custom painted faces. I like the ones I've seen done but they almost seem like other dolls to me when they are repainted. I just can't seem to see some of them as being the same characters anymore, once painted. It's weird...

Total head count here 43 MH dolls, including Scarah who is en route. If I ever get the last 3 boys on my want list, that would be 46 and I guess I'll leave 4 slots for any new monsters that might arrive via CAM sets or whatever and try to make it an even 50, lol. But this is what I mean when I say these little dolls are like dollieh crack. Not even two years ago they were so scarce around here that I was happy to finally have scored a couple of the CAM packs. Now here I am and I have practically the whole school represented by at least one doll. FYI, only 4 dolls are duplicated. I have a Dead Tired Draculaura and the Scary Tales one. (Bianca) I have a regular Lagoona and the 3 wishes Lagoona. (Nessa) I have Scaris Rochelle and Dance Class Rochelle (Regine) and I have Roller Operetta and Dance Class Operetta whom I have wigged and repainted a little and made into a totally different character (Aria) her punk half sister.

Other than those they're all different. I still would like to have Jackson, Holt, and Clawde someday but that's mostly it. I'm not into Cleo's big sister or Clawdeen's and I don't think I'm into collecting Slow Mo, Heath or the headmistress, though I think she's pretty cool. The spider girl is pretty cool but she's too limited and expensive for me. If I found the rest thrifting someday I suppose I'd bring them home but I would not pay $20 plus for those. I don't like those super large CAM monsters either. If they went back to the smaller dolls and the 2 packs depending upon what they did I might go there but so long as they are making the dolls like that for the CAM packs, I can skip them.

At this point I'm getting towards calling it a day other than those 3 boys and those are so scarce that it's not likely to happen anyhow. Then again I thought that about Tori, Deuce and Scarah and I managed to eventually snag them. I still cannot believe I snagged Scarah. I have been watching for her for months, literally and she was never in stock, ever. I checked totally off the cuff. I was cleaning out my browser and about to kill the bookmark. I'd given up. I figured I'd just turn a Frankie into her and BAM, there she was. That one was totally a gift from the dollieh faeries!

I'm definitely addicted to MH dolls though. (MK hangs head in mock shame....) I honestly don't know what happened here. I meant to just have a FEW and ended up going totally hog wild.

I went to pick up the rest of the stuff we bought for my Dad's new place at our local neighborhood market and when I opened the box there was a Picture Day Frankie in there. Nope, did not order and it wasn't on the receipt either. But the manager there said they couldn't touch the contents, something about them not being a regular store, and that it was up to me if I wanted to return it over at the big Walmart down the road or not. I then tried to take it back to the big store, but they said they couldn't return her since the receipt didn't say she was bought by me. When I asked them what I was supposed to do with it he just shrugged and handed it back to me saying he couldn't just add it to their inventory sans a receipt.

I checked my account when I got home too, just in case, no Frankie so I'm guessing I just got a free Frankie? I'm thinking I might OOAK her actually since I already have the light up one but this is too funny. I don't even have to go looking to buy MH dolls and they just show up now apparently. :P I guess I could try and see if here is a Walmart online phone number but the manager at big Walmart didn't seem to think they'd take it back either sans receipt. He said it probably got put in the wrong box and that they'll just send that customer one when they realize they're down one doll. He said likely they wouldn't ask me to send it back since it was their error and they wouldn't want to waste the $$$ shipping it back. So I guess I'm legally free to keep her then...

My Gigi ended up being free after I was sent 2 Twylas. They sent me Gigi and a return label, when Twyla was returned I got a refund.

If you customize her a pretty reroot goes a long way. None of my Frankies ever stuck around long.
