Hmnnnn, I can't tell because I know Gift_in_Edge has a PTE body which I think is a bit beefier and bigger than a Ken body so it might throw off that size curve...I wish I had more bodies to test this theory against. XD;;

Why does garage sale season have to be so far away? Jake's neck is only a cm or so taller then the Obistu. I can always easily manipulate their heights in photostories.

Yes siree Bob.

Pretty much. Kato is the inventor, I wouldn't say the brains because Reid is just as smart in his own right. On the radio drama Kato is always in the shadows to the point that everyone thinks the Green Hornet works alone. The Tv/Movie Kato is the brains and the brawn. There's a character called Michael Axford that is used for most of the comedic moments.
And here's why Kato is so short. His actor is a little more then 5', while Al Hodge is 6'2" The creators used some aspects of the actors in the characters.

With my guys I went Triad Omega for Young Sherlock Holmes and Ignite Napoleon for young Watson to get a height difference close to that picture but the Napoleon has a tubby tummy.

It looks like 25cm would be a good height for Kato but there really aren't any guys in that size range. The only other one I have that looks smaller than everyone else is the Triad Samurai Shamploo, if you can find a loose body, he's also very thin. It would be easier to make Britt taller with a Triad Omega, Hot Toys True Type, or Sideshow/Art S Buck.

If you want a bigger height difference you could go with a Jake for Kato and a Moxie teen body for GH.

DollyKimI can't say with any authority on the other dolls you mentioned but I would advise against Triad Toy's Samurai Champloo characters. They're made extremely stylistically thin in keeping with the animation's style. Mugen and Jin (the two toys made for Samurai Champloo by Triad) aren't quite as bad as Medicom's disastrous attempt to mimic "style" with Cowboy Bebop's Spike Spiegel:

I can't seem to find it now but there's a picture of the naked doll and he's even more horrifying, he looks like a human spider. I'm not sure if this is the "we slightly improved it and now he's only 90% terrifying" version they made over for the movie release or if he's the standard run of "scare the hell out of everyone by owning this" version, but both versions are just...no, Medicom, no. Bad toy company. Go sit in the corner.

But yeah, Samurai Champloo has the same sort of "long, thin limbs" that just...don't really work on anyone but the characters themselves. (This isn't surprising considering the two animes are made by the same creator and director.) Triad pulled this look off a million times better than Medicom but there's no denying that they're definitely weird to look at in any other context besides the characters themselves. I know it's just my personal opinion, but I would just stay well away from the Triad Samurai Champloo boys, they're also extremely rare to find as "spare parts" (There's one user that's split them up on Ebay that's been circulatiing the same heads for what feels like years :lol: No bodies though sadly.), and Ebay is the cheapest place to find them and $109 is a tad expensive for a spare body.

It sounds to me as if you have a specific body set in mind though, do you Gift_in_Edge? :D

Also, since you seem to be in love with the classic Green Hornet show and radio specials, I have to ask as someone who's never seen the (2011? 2012? The one with Seth Rogan. :? ) big budget Hollywood movie but has been a little curious, did you see it, and if you did...what did you think of it? Sacrilege? A different, enjoyable take on the characters? (I've seen some GH fans discussing the movie somewhere and the reactions pretty much ranged what I wrote above. :lol: )

I bought my Champloo body years ago so I can't say for prices now but it's all how he's dressed. This is my Jimmy Page and the body shape is ideal.

A time comes with 1/6 dolls where you have to decide between how they look without clothes or how their joints work. I'm just looking at my guys for who looks smaller than a Power Team Elite.

MeltedCaramel I found the movie enjoyable. First time I saw it I didn't know much about Green Hornet. Seeing it now is even more fun for me. Most people compare it too much to the tv show.

DollyKim Mixed prices on Champloo dolls. I'm sure Kato will be fully dressed most of the time, so not worried about ugly joints. I drool over figure bodies that can do sweet poses.

If you want a scale 5' figure, you may want to consider vintage Big Jim bodies. I don't remember neck and articulation details. (This was before I got my doctorate in Frankenstein Physiology...) But they stand at 10", with head.
