Hey guys with the Create-A-Monster Sets which one would be better to create an MH version of Emily from Corpse Bride? Ghoulia (I'm more afraid to take her legs apart I'd probably buy a Dead Tired Ghoulia to work with if that's the case) I plan on using the skeleton pack but just a couple of the limbs. I already made a dress that Spectra is currently wearing that I'm planning on making more to go with it.

When I was doing some of my scarecrow girls, I had very thin sock yarn, and I still had to put in about four doubled over strands in the gaping part holes. I can only imagine it would take a lot more hair to do that.

I"ve done bigger plugs or several plugs, I'll do a smaller hole or two around it and go back to the big hole and put another plug in then some smaller ones so it's like a mesh of thread inside the head. I do needle and thread method which is pretty secure and you can put a layer of glue in afterwards.

On the Emily side maybe mix the werewolf and the skeleton?

That's a good idea. I think I'll do that since the Skeleton head has the look I'm looking for and the werewolf set has the best body match. Plus I do like the wig...Now to make a veil...

Thanks! ^^

I was thinking of eventually doing a corpse bride too but I was just going to use a cheap Ghoulia rather than spend the $20 to get a starter pack when Skull Shores Ghoulia is only around $12.

I was going to try modifying DT Ghoulia with the CAM Skeleton pack to give, her, her decomposed parts.

I was thinking of doing a skeleton girl as well with the new sets but I like your idea of doing corpse bride with a mix of Ghoulia and the skeleton set. Also i heard from others that the Liv doll wigs fit the MH create doll heads.. and they are nicer quality wigs. Which is defiantly true because I bought one of the wigs hoping it might fit my 43cm Deilah Noir but did not. I have a Frankie and I definitely can tell there is a difference in quality.

I did put a Liv wig on an MH head, it's a little big (covers the tops of her ears) but it's tight enough to stay on well.

I'm sure you guys are tired of my 'in front of the bread-box' photos, but it's the best place I've got right now. LOL

For DollyKim, because she asked. ;P Really though, Ghoulia rocks this outfit, she looks so amazing.

[EDIT]: ohh. I haven't tried the needle method before. I've just done the punching in type of rooting. I'm scared to do it any other way. haha

Brought home my second MH yesterday, a Dawn of the Dance Clawdeen. Had her set up on the coffee table from pulling her out of the package, and woke up this morning to find my mom had played with her. She later told me I should work to get them all since they are so much more affordable than the resin dolls and went on with how much she loves the style and lanky bodies they use.

So, Monster High converted my mother to the dollieh side.

So my BF and I love the Monster High dolls, we currently have normal Spectra, Skull shores Ghoulia and Frankie in like a running outfit. And last night we had dinner with some friends and exchanged Christmas presents and we got Create a Monster Vamp and Sea monster, I was so excited when I realized what it was, I couldn't stop hugging the box. Unfortunately what I need for the Alice/Malice in Wonderland doll I want to make is the other starter pack and the Skeleton girl pack but my BF was able to use the doll parts we got to begin developing a necromancer doll he wants to make. He still needs some skeleton girl pieces and the left hand of the bee girl...along with the black robe from the Twilight Jane doll, but he's getting there:-)

I want to make a black Alice in Wonderland outfit.. i was thinking maybe dying one of the existing dolls outfits..perhaps Frankie's main outfit? what do you guys think?
