Marmit Elf Rurufi

Here is my Marmit Elf Rurufi I received from pandor. This doll isn’t that rare on the secondary market in japan but it’s such a bother trying to import and such that I’ve given up on ever having her in my collection, plus its difficult trying to find ANY information on Marmit brand dolls since they’re better known for their Kaiju vinyl figurines.

Anyways from what I can gather, Marmit released a line of Elf/Fairy eared (according to some translations) dolls dressed in maid outfits back in 2002 for 5800 yen, with two characters called Rarafi and Rurufi (ララフィ ルルフィ) though some translations call them Lara Phil and Luffy. It seems the only real difference between the twins is that Rurufi’s ears droop much more than Rarafi’s and Rurufi’s mole is under her left eye while Rarafi’s is under her right eye. There’s been version of both without and with the Hime cut but I prefer the hime cut as it covers her forehead a bit lol. She’s on a modded Marmit body where I carved out the joints a bit so they sit a bit better and added Liv hands since the body didn’t have hands.

I really am happy I finally am able to own her though since she’s been one of my holy grails for literally years now and I really love her cute elf ears. Definitely a leftover from one of my big Anime phases but I must say she’s a very cute doll as well.

Marmit elves! I have that exact same one, as well as the one with less droopy ears (who has brown hair parted in the middle). They're fun dolls to have if you can get ahold of one.

She IS cute. I'd love to get my hands on one, too. But all that difficulty even finding information on them ... yikes. I'll just admire from afar. lol
