Two Kurhn girl for our household

Postby MitisFeles » Mon Jul 28, 2014 4:38 am

I'm in love with Kurhn dolls since the first time I saw their pretty faces on the Internet, two or three years ago, but never managed to decide getting one until recently, when I adopted those two beautiful girl!

I'm positively impressed by their quality: the plastic feels good and they pose well for having only 10 joints (and not ankle and wrist joints), and they are so much charming in person than I expected! I named them Xiao Quiao (on the left) and Da Quiao (on the right), like the two twin beauties from the Three Kingdom Romance.

I have seen these dolls online as well and loved how they looked, but didn't know enough about them. I know some are pose-able but I think so are not. It's hard to tell, but are their heads larger than the Barbie heads, like the size of the My Scene doll heads?

You're right, Linsilee, not all the Kurhn dolls are poseable. (And that's the reason because I hesitated to buy one from eBay, I'd like a poseable one and from the seller's photos I cannot tell from sure). And yes, they have a bigger head than Barbie, like My Scene dolls. You can see here some comparisons: http://www.toyboxphilosopher.com/2013/0 ... green.html and http://www.toyboxphilosopher.com/2013/0 ... -6077.html

Oh gosh, they're stunning! Kurhns have such sweet faces.
I don't know about other sellers but flyingannalee on eBay, who has wide selection of Kurhns, always states in the title if they have the ten joints or not. I've found that super helpful when searching.

They're so cute - and I really like the way their hands are molded. I always think it's only a matter of time before I give in and get a Kurhn! :)

Kurhns and Momokos have been my highest covets lately. I really like your girl on the right's hair! Both are adorable though. Have you found it's hard to get them to be expressive without the wrist joints? I might end up rebodying one if I got it because I really use posable wrists a lot. Also can they touch their own faces with this articulation or no?
