Hello! I ish back! I missed the DS so much! Long story as to where I've been, but I'll make a post explaining later. For now, have some pictures.
ImageImage
Saber is back! :D She's my Medicom Saber from Fate/Zero (and Fate/Stay Night). I got my hands on the old Azone Saber a while ago and I switched out her battle dress for her casual clothes. The Azone shirt didn't look quite right on her, though (muscled Medicom arms are much larger than thin Obitsu arms), so I changed it out for a slightly different styled one. I need to make her a bow for her collar, but she looks much better now.

And Zero Saber has joined us! This girl is sharp. Medicom tailoring at it's finest. I love that these two can share faceplates, because I gave Casual Saber the straight staring smiling plate that came with Suit Saber.

Rin Tohsaka and Illyasviel Von Einsbern have also joined us as well. Illya is an Azone PureNeemo, with the updated Neemo Flection body, while Rin is an Azone HAC except for her head (Alter swimsuit PVC statue). The PVC does some wonky things in photographs, but in person the match is spot on with her Obitsu body.
Image
All three together. Unfourtunately, Saber is supposed to be shorter than Rin. Thanks to her being a MediBitsu, she is slightly taller than a regular Obitsu. She is actually still the same height she was straight out of the box, as the Obitsu torso has nearly the exact same measurements as the Medicom squishy armature torso.

Magical Girls have become a part of the Fate Universe and I had to add these 2 to the shelf. Miyu and Illya are just adorable. Even though they're technically non-scale statues, I took a chance on the 2 hoping they were big enough to pass for 1/6th. I think their heads could work on 21cm Obitsu bodies, I just need to get one!

Hope you guys enjoy the pictures! :D

These look really nice! I don't see much Azone posted, but I'm usually behind in the 1/6 thread. I only have three 1/6 dolls and two have never been given faces. ha!

I have a friend who absolutely LOVES Saber in all her forms. I've not seen Fate. Perhaps I should add it to the list of anime/manga things to experience.

Thank you so much!!! Sorry it took me so long to reply! I've been working all weekend and just now got to checking up on the board!
The Fate Azone's are actually really nice, though you can tell they're older now (Neemo Illya came on the old body so we upgraded her to the Neemo Flection). I've had several Azone now, and they have a great quality to them. Plus, all the older HAC line dolls came on Obitsu bodies.
My only issue with the original heads of Tohsaka and Saber was that they weren't rooted all the way to the backs of their heads. Azone Saber especially looked bad (since her hair is up in her braid-crown). The outfits are top notch though. Tohsaka's stockings in particular to be praised because after years of being on an Obitsu body, there was not a bit of staining on her legs or feet when we pulled her out of her box.
I love Medicom. I have to recommend them to anyone who loves Saber because they are literally the best 1/6th hers out. I do plan on getting the other 2 Sabers (so far). Alter Saber is already out but I'm waiting on Saber Lily this Christmas. I really really really want them to announce my 2nd favorite Saber as a doll, Saber Extra/Red Saber. She's from the PSP Fate/Extra and is just so sassy. Volks made a 1/3rd of her several years ago and she has become my 1 and only Grail.

Watch Fate. Do it. :D It's a great series of series. There's so much to the universe that you can keep learning new and different things about how things connect and why it's important without missing out on anything if you just watch 1 or 2 of the different series.
I've tried typing up something short and informative about the Fate universe about 5 times now and I end up with waaaaaay too much so I'm going to suggest just jump in and know that it was a Visual Novel (there is an unofficial English translation out there by MirrorMoon. Though I have to warn it is an adult VN, it isn't all about the sex), Studio DEEN made a decent anime and a bad movie, ufotable made an amazing prequel filled with visual pr0n, and now are making a new series and a movie.
It's definitely worth looking into and leads to so much more in the entirety of the Type-Moon universe. :D How can you go wrong with a universe where the top 5 strongest characters are Magical Girls and anthro-cats?

....I still think this was way too long....
