The little kitty cat arrived :) (Ordered him via junkyspot on ebay).
I will name him Loki. I even managed to put the eyes in ;) However, the tension even that small already holds kinda puts me off larger BJD o_O He will get a faceup sometime, but for now he will have to be content with PJs

Are the strings too tight or too loose? That can randomly happen to any strung doll and it can be fixed so don't let it turn you off from bigger dolls.

For him, I think the tension is about right (stands well on his own etc.), but to take off the head and secure the strings, and put the back on again, heavy pulling was necessary.

I guess it is just me; I have some issues with my hands/wrists and pulling against tension is painful for me and I cannot hold on long. I see the advantages of the stringing, and still pine for a light tan resinsoul Mei a bit ^^" but overall, for myself I think the large Obitsus are just the things :) (Easily assembled and taken apart)

If he's posing well then they're about right. As you play with him he'll loosen up a bit.

He's adorable! Love the PJs.

For trouble like you're talking about, you might want to think about getting some hemostats. They lock, so once you get something pulled out you don't have to maintain the tension, it'll keep things where you need them. I've found them to be immensely helpful!

I'll second the haemostats!

The first (accidental) leg restringing I had to do was a (literal!) pain as I doing it without any aids. The second (deliberate) leg restringing was a breeze as I'd got 2 pairs of haemostats and a hook to pull elastic through!

Thank you guys, and thanks for the tips!

I am working with ribbon so that the string cannot slide into the body ^^" as for securing, and old chopstick does a wonderful work. However, currently the weather is not one for using MSC ;_; therefore, my dolliehs stay faceless (I have Loki and a tiny Azone/Obitsu hybrid waiting for some colour).

When using MSC, is it safe to take the piece you sprayed back inside, or will it still emit "fumes" while not dried? (If it is too cold outside, I read that the MSC will dry white-ish if you leave the piece outside...)
