Cordelia finally got a wig! And possibly a name. This isn't her finished look, but let me introduce you to (the current) Lanai.

Her shell bra is just held on with putty, but I took them off to clean the residue from her chest for dress making.

Image
And magnetic mermaid ears!

Image
Then the sun came out, so I got some natural light shots.

The harp also came with her.

And the Human body parts:

Mone has been dying with curiosity over the new girl, so I took some shots of my two Eidolons together.

She's very happy to not be such a baby next to all the other dolls anymore.

Image
Not so tiny now! Not surprised my boy has pseudo adopted Lanai.

And one more, a shot of the wig and eyes she came with.

Image
It was too bad the wig was the wrong size, I really liked it.

Wow! She poses really nicely! I love that first picture you got when the sun came out, and also the one with her and the smaller doll. She is really precious!

Too cute! I want one!

Is the knee joint in her tail different from the others? I've been trying to figure out the mechanics of tails like that.

Thanks, guys! I''m completely smitten with her.

DollyKim: The knee joint in the tail is just reverse what the upper thigh/hip is. I took some pics to help show what I mean.

Image
The whole breakdown of the tail.

Image
Side view of the bent position.

Image
Her bum. The groove faces back at the knee and is as deep as the one on her upper thigh/hip, so it bends to a 90 degree angle.

Image
Another exposed shot. It has no grooves to bend forward, the string is resting on the resin, so it's difficult to get her to hold the tail in a forward bend. The last few joints don't have any grooves, so most of the posing is in the upper leg. The tail fin has a special ball and socket joint so it can flip and trun.

Image

Hope that helps. :)

I love the second image in the natural lighting. It looks like she is basking. So cute!

She's quite a sweet looking gal. I only seen the large male merman Eidolon closeup once before and I really love the way their scales look.

She really looks cute! I am amazed at the "option" parts :) that way, you can have both your mermaid and the little girl doll (for dressup etc.)
