Ivy at the Library

I brought Ivy (my 21 cm obitsu with the pixie head) to work today. Since I got in extra early (due to not wanting to battle the baseball gatekeepers who set up at the park entrance and try to charge patrons and staff money--and have been told NOT to, but doesn't stop them from blocking and asking), I decided to do a little bit of a photoshoot.

Ivy is a pixie, but she wanted to be a fairy, so I let her don a pair of wings (actually a clip on butterfly) and strategically shot her so it looked like she had wings and antennae.

These are just a few of the shots. I put several on my Flickr page.

Enjoy...

How cute! I bet she'd be a hit with the kids - and an incentive to read!

We are doing a fairy house storytime next month. I think Ivy will be there in the hopes of inspiring the children at building a fairy house in our garden space. Last time, it was raining, so we took styrafoam cups, bowls, glue dots and stickers and made mushroom houses for fairies. I had Pip (my Silverbeam Iceling) with me that time, and showed how well he fit inside the house. One mother got all excited because they had a lot of tiny dolls and figures, and she figured this would save her having to hunt for a doll house.

Oh my goodness, she's lovely! <3 Dolliehs, fairies and books: what more could you ask for? :) That would have been such fun to see!
