New Barbies--New Removeable heads!

So, not really. But these may be interesting. Discussion? They are the poseable bodies.

What's with the torso line thingy? Am I suppose to remove the head as a bust thingy?

For me, if these came out when I was still a kid and still into Barbie I would have got them. But my Obitsus and PB spoilt me their articulation and the fact that I can paint my own dolls with my choice of heads

Looks like the head and shoulders are supposed to pop off as one unit. I have about half a dozen of these bodies and they're worth it, especially if they have the ball knee instead of the hinged one.

I'm curious as to why they're trying the pop-off heads again. The My Scene version really didn't sell well.
Still, if we get a variety of faces and hair colors I'm willing to give them a try. (*must* have the tiny top hat the brunette's wearing)

Love how there are so many new jointed bodies coming out. Apparently American doll companies are watching the bjd trend. Good, start 'em young!

These are... interesting. So, are they going to sell separate heads thingies?

Allow me to explain some more about these babes. The shoulder-bust-head part pops off. All the dolls are the same skintone (same as the Cutie fashionista), I could have also sworn I saw a redhead one somewhere down that isle.
The brunette is jet black hair with purple streaks, and I would have bought her if it wasn't for that deer-in-the-headlights toothy smile (I have a great love for the closed mouth barbies >_>). When I go back on Friday I'll try to get pictures of the individual ones for reference. There are also new ones out that have great accessories with them. A bit pricier but the accessories are cute. If they have them in stock I'll get pictures of those too.

Just for the record, according to one blogger I saw who got some (didn't think to bookmark it, sorry), they have a button on their back and no torso joint.

Aw, that's nothing new. My daughter removed the heads of most of her barbies......
Not sure why.
