Tidus x Yuna 11" Volks/Obitsu Dollfie from FFX-2

Hi, everyone!

I've been super insanely busy with commissions that I've not had any time to post here, but I thought I'd take a little time to upload the new photos I've recently taken of my updated Tidus & Yuna dollfie.

I originally made them in 2003/2004, but since then, I've always wanted to update my Tidus (first he had the Volks SH-08 head which I actually ADORE for most of my male dollfie who are anime characters, but that's the thing----it's anime style and Tidus is realistic, so...... (Here is the original one (anime style) if you want to see it:
http://www.setsunakou.com/customdolls/f ... eanime.jpg )
Then, I tried the Volks NGG01 head, but still.....not really him.
Finally, I decided on the Volks Sh-09 head, which I think suits him really well! Yay! Too bad his necklace charm is on the back in these shots! How did that happen?! It's not like he moves around by himself to swing his necklace around back! 0_o) His body is a Volks Tan EB-N with adapted NGG 'Guy' colored hands.

For Yuna, I actually loved the Volks Sh-10 head I had used for her when I first made her a few years ago, but someone REALLY wanted her and so I sold her and told myself we'd make another full doll (head, body, clothing) for myself. When the time came, I couldn't decide if I wanted to stick with the Volks SH-10 head or use the Obitsu 02 head! So I studied Yuna's pictures and decided her face shape/features were more of the Obitsu 02, and went with that on an Obitsu Soft Bust body.

At first, after I finished her, I loved her new outfit that my sister made for me(so much more accurate!)but I still thought I preferred my original one's face--not for accuracy or quality, but just....'liveliness' or something (here she is if you'd like to look at it: http://www.setsunakou.com/customdolls/f ... sclose.jpg).

But now, the new Obitsu one has kind of grown on me and I'm satisfied with her. I do think she looks more accurate and the faceup is better, so.... ^^

such details on your outfits. W02 is a lovely head she's sweeter looking while your original head came across as spunky

I love how you did her face up and everything else on your dolls. BTW don't you know that dolls move around when you are not looking, like in "Toy Story".

I see what you mean. Yuna version 2 is technically a much improved doll but version 1 does have a really nice "personality" to her face up.

I love all the details you put into your dolls.

By the way, Sunako is your fault. Looking at your dolls led me to La Corda D'Oro (watched all the episodes this summer) which led me to OHSHC which led me to The Wallflower. Having watched all of the episodes on line, it was necessary to own The Wallfower, create a Sunako doll and build a room for her. Kyohei is next. :geek:
