Lanterns in the night

Postby Iwa_Hoshi » Sat Sep 18, 2010 5:02 pm

Essentially part 2 of Shooting by the river. the night version. Night shoots are new to me since Day shoots have more light and details. Since I work near the historical districts there much photo ops to take advantage of.

So yeah more Obi-Chun pic spam.

Was in Chinatown for this. My country was a British colony (from 1819 onwards) and the Chinese workers/immigrants who came down south kinda lived in the Chinese section back then. So yeah they decked up historical Chinatown for mid autumn.

Its difficult to get good light at the Sky bridge. One side is historical touristy part of town and the other is the 'newer' and' contemporary neighborhood where I hunt fabrics (more range than my neighborhood)

I loved it all but the tiny clapboard and the racing gloves are so cool!

The racing gloves are part of the cy girl hands I got for Erisa(TTL CY girl type-Neo Goh hybrid). As for the clapperboard, took me a while to track it down

Nice shots, Iwa! I love night and low light photography but it's one thing that many newer cameras don't do as well as the older 4 to 6 megapixel models.

Lols mine's an older model 12 megapixel Fuji FinePix F50fd that was on sale. I'm still figuring it out. :lol: The most I could do was - hold doll with brighter light source behind me, shoot, hope for the best, repeat with the next mode that I think might be useful :lol:

Those are really beautiful shots! I love how the dolls look life-size in most of them. X}

that's the fun part of doing this. its gets tricky when you have to hold them with one hand and shoot with the other :lol:
