My Vintage Dorrs.

Postby Kd_Bunchanumbers » Tue Sep 21, 2010 3:10 am

So yeah, on the weekend I found this vintage steffie head and promptly scalped her and rerooted her. I mostly am delirious because she's always been on my wishlist for years and to pay one buck for her..
Here is her before pic

So during the last couple days I've dug through my hair supply and decided to give her silver hair. Mostly because it was that or green and she suits silver better...

And I have... customised her to fit modern bodies by dremeling the crap outta it. I rather stick her on a fashionista bodsy but she matches the peachy tone much better, so she's rockin a stumpy armed Liv.

So yeah, I realised I hAven't taken pics of her or my other vintage looking dolls yet so yeah. I'm not a major fan but I do like a couple dolls from the earlier years. I only need a Vintage Allan doll, vintage Midge and Malibu Barbie repros and I'm happy. I rather the repros since their necks are compatible with newer bodies and they're more evenly rooted xD

My vintage Ballerina Barbie. Her crown was chewed and hair was frizzled to hell. Her eyebrows rubbed off and her lips gone... Her body was in awesome condition but not posable enough so she got a Super Action Jenny body... I repainted her eyebrows but her lips kept rubbing off :/

My vintage repro TNT barbie. I absolutely love her but if I try photographing her, she ends up looking VERY lazy eyed. She's on a Liv body with Obitsu grip hands.

Luke Skywalker on a ken body with a rotable neck. He looks so damn derpy but he looks sweet so I love him... (I just need a better body)

Those are fantastic, John. I love the face-paint. And great job on those re-roots!

Steffie has a very sweet face. I really like the way a lot of vintage Barbies had a sort of toned downed look to them, It makes them look younger and kinda sweeter.
