MH Robecca and Hexiciah Steam

As Monster High seems to have lost popularity, I wasn't certain if anyone saw these. They were a Comicon Exclusive, but they are up on Amazon. I'm hoping to tempt someone into purchasing them so they will share with the rest of us. :D

She's so shiny!!! And he's just plain out awesome. I think he's the first of this body type? (at least I don't recall any other strapping male molds) As a bonus: she appears to have all of the old articulation! Did I mention how shiny she is?

More images, since the Amazon link doesn't have close ups:

As for other MH new or up and coming releases: they seem to be hit and miss. Some still have full body articulation, some appear to skip the knee joint, and others are the new annoying stiff limbed bodies. The knee joints on those that have them seem to have been updated. Going off of the images, they look a bit more sturdy.
There seems to be complaints about quality with even the more delux versions, but that's not really anything new for MH, especially when it comes to hair issues.
BUT, maybe the collectors can hold onto a little bit of hope, seeing that it's not going to be all stiff-limbed, generic looking dolls forever.

Didn't Manny Taur have a muscular body? And the Merman in the chair had a more muscled torso, I think.

Look super cool!

Thanks for sharing.

The merman has wider shoulders and a more muscular build than the average Mansters.

Hexiciah Steam does look awesome - but he could pass for a teacher rather than a student!

I think he was a "Victorian era" teacher in the toy commercial-er-movie. Just glue some gears to it and call it Steampunk.

I do like the idea of Robecca being shiny but I think I'm done with buying new Monsters unless it's a character I missed for a decent price. I don't have room to enjoy the ones I have.

I would like a Hexiciah, though. Usually I'm not a fan of molded hair, but he's a pretty unusual character for a fashion doll line (although he'd be less out of the ordinary for, say, a Disney doll).

Hexiciah is an adult/teacher in the Monster High movie he is in.

He uses the same body and Manny Taur - the muscular one.

I came across a great blog post (NOT my blog) of someone who bought the set and did a thorough unboxing and review post with a TON of photos.

You're welcome! As soon as I saw that in my reading list on blogger, I thought of you posting about the set and wanting reviews.

Glad I could help!
