WIP Kitbash - Android Girl

...After several attempts I finally found a headsculpt that matched the "Uncanny Valley" idea I had for this girl without just looking plain bad! Don't ask me about the HS - I really don't know much about it, but I picked it up off of One Sixth Kit (the overlap between "action figures" and dolls strikes again!) but I couldn't find much about it or the apparent manufacturer with a quick google.

The head is utterly incompatible with the Obitsu body, so for now it's just temporarily plonked on there with some poster tac after a severe shortening of the neck-post. The head has moveable eyes and has a faceplate kinda system.

The clothes are the most "spacey" things I could find in my box of 1/6 scale crud, but she'll eventually be getting something more appropriate! I just thought I should show her now that she's finally coming together after owning that clear body for several years at this point (and the ridiculous number of innapropriate disembodied female heads I've gone through trying to do this slightly mad idea...)

...And a purposefully creepy shot of her next to a couple of her disembodied rivals who are just plain bad headsculpts:

Have some random Bucky cosplaying as Jefferson or the Mad Hatter (one of the ...better characters from a certain extremely badly written show that I love to hate. It's really difficult being a Robert Carlyle fan at the moment!)

I think she looks really good. I like that head for her.

Thanks! I was really surprised when I came across that head it was too perfect to pass up. OSK usually specialises in the hyperrealistic Hot Toys-esque end of this hobby so I was pleasantly surprised when I found her.

I like the look of the android girl, it's kind of very retro sci-fi?

Oh, don't know if you know or not and sorry if you do, but there's rooted Bucky heads floating around on ebay. If you wanted to upgrade your Bucky to not have raccoon eyes.

Also Black Panther is fantastic

I've been thinking about getting that head too but I don't like the body that is compatible with her so I put off buying her but she looks really cute on a slimmer body so hmmm. She's a TianYiMei (or Girl Fighter Red Scarf) made by Technic Toys if you're curious about their fullset figures and stuff.

Your android girl looks awesome! She reminds me of the social robots made in Asia that can have conversations with people or sing.

OMG - thanks guys and sorry about the epic delay on this, my computer died so I was without one for nearly a month whilst the insurance tried to work out if they could fix it (they couldn't)

werepuppy - thanks! Yeah I was aiming vaguely for that 60s space futuristic look.

Yeah if I were willing to spend more to get another Bucky I would probably upgrade, his new actually chrome arm looks awesome, but the rest of the figure is a bit underwhelming - and for most HTs figures I try to go for the one-and-done approach (Tony being the notable exception), and Cap of course who I refuse to pick up... Eeh! Black Panther was surprisingly awesome in Civil War, I kinda had to pick him up, hes so much fun. I really want to do a photoset with him being ridiculously cat-like with a ball of twine or something. (I know they'll probably do another figure for his film, and Infinity War but... Preparing myself somewhat for the Hot Toys apocalypse that will inevitably come with Infinity War.)

Kd_Bunchanumbers: Thanks for the info! I had her down as by a different company entirely. I want to say do it do it! But I feel that would be mean of me.

Jobee: Thanks! That's exactly the kind of uncanny valley thing I was aiming for I'm really glad that comes across!

: Hee! Thanks, Bucky is very glad to be on a body for now, even if he did have to steal it from Robert Knepper who'll no doubt be out for revenge...
