Witch/Whittler 8" Custom Doll from 'Brave'

Just finished this custom OOAK doll of the Witch/Whittler from ‘Brave’ for a commission. I had a lot of fun sculpting her head and painting her features. The knit cloak is darker in person (my camera makes it look so light---from the flash, I guess.) Z

Anyway, she’s on an Obitsu 21cm girl small bust jointed body and I gave her clawed Monster High hands for full effect.

Hope you all like her, too!

Awesome, once again! How exactly do you sculpt the custom heads?

Thanks, Kirahfaye-san! :hugs: You're also so super kind to comment! I really appreciate it!!! :hugs: I search for a head that has the right hair color and if possible, an approximate base head shape to start with. From there, I use 'Fixit Sculpt' (or 'Apoxie Sculpt' will work but it's more droopy while you work) to handsculpt the features onto the base head. In this instance, the customer sent his Bikin Evil Queen/Hag head for me to start with. The hair wasn't quite right so before I started sculpting, I rerooted a lot of silver/grey hair first. After that, I carved off any features that would hinder the new sculpt--like the nose incorrectly shaped or a jawline that needs revising. Then, it's just up to the sculpting the face and allowing it to dry before painting the details and blushing/etc. For this head, too, the neckhole was so large I had to sculpt in more to accommodate the Obitsu neckpost. :)
Thanks again so much for asking!!!!

Amazing - you explain all of that like it was such a simple thing to do! LOL

The detail on her face is amazing! I would love to see you do some Ghibli characters like this. Grandma Sophie or Yubaba would be amazing
