Painkiller Jane showed up! Bit of a surprise, hadn't even been aware that the PO had actually already released...

Love this figure - despite being vaguely terrified about what will eventually happen to the 'skin', I think the trousers and coat combo is going to be my go to display route for this one.

(Hah, putting the trousers on this thing was painfully reminiscent of shimmying into a pair of skintight jeans I used to own... And removing the hands to put the bracelets on was especially terrifying, needed to heat them up to get them off but no idea how the 'skin' would react to that treatment)

Might try to work out how to put the bandages on in an aesthetically pleasing manner next. And really not sure if I will ever use the teeny plasters that came with her, but it's lovely that they included them!

...And ridiculously, in the way these things always work my Scarlet Witch figure is due any day now... (She's been out for a few months for most people, but as always EU-residents get these things last. So I may take a few photos with these two together. I've already realised that Painkiller Jane here is wearing more red than the Witch

Thanks! Yeah - I was immediately grabbed by the fact that it was Painkiller Jane!! So despite being wary of Phicen's rep with their female figures took the plunge. She's pretty darned awesome in person, and the tailoring is amongst the best I've seen at this scale.

(I'll just never be swapping her clothes out again given how difficult it was to 1) get her shorts off and 2) squeeze her into those skintight jeans, I'd be terrified that a repeat performance of that procedure would do some damage to the squidy skin stuff. It's a bit of a shame actually, she's also got this hilarious bikini (again from the comics) that I'd have loved to have put her in for a photoset or something - but given how much of a struggle her tailoring was I don't think I'll bother.)

She just needs a little Crisco and she'll slide right into those jeans.

Oh wow, she looks amazing! I genuinely have no idea who Painkiller Jane is but she looks really cool. I like your idea of taking photos of her with the Scarlet Witch.

Will the red stain, though? I don't know how well Phicen figures do for staining and what not which is why I've never actually got one...

(Hee - if the Crisco wouldn't be near guaranteed to do terrible things to the rubbery stuff I'd have been so tempted to try that)

Thanks! Yeah the figure ended up so like the comic character in attitude that it very nearly tells you most of what you need to know about her by itself! It'll be interesting to compare them both outfit wise and to see who has the least-realistic superhero body-type  Was pleasantly surprised when this girl turned up tbh and she was fairly muscular/toned as opposed to the usual 36DD sporting glamour girls that Phicen seem to specialise in.

As to staining - I'll let you know in a few months! Hah, more seriously though as far as I've heard if you stick with the outfits that Phicen sell you should be fine. But anything from other companies carries a high risk of dye migrating. But - we'll see if that's true! I've got to admit I'm most suspicious of the pleather that the coat is made from, where by necessity the red faux-leather bits are folded back inside and touching the 'skin' of the figure. The top seems to be made of a spandexy type fabric where I'd happily guess that the red is part of the material rather than dye, but I've honestly no idea about whether the jeans will do anything, let alone the black-thread that they've used for her necklace and bracelets.

Superhero face-off

Can't decide if Wanda is unusually short, or Jane unusually tall...

Image
Both gazing superheroically into the sunset... I think Jane's meaningful stare just edges Wanda's

Image
Again - that height difference!!

Image
Loving the effects parts - even though I'm really not sure how precisely they're supposed to slide on over her glowy hands

Comparing coats...

Terribly despite the ridiculous tailoring and multitude of fabrics Hot Toys used here... I think I prefer Jane's leather duster. Though it may have something to do with that unsightly wrinkle on Scarlet Witches' coat that I doubt will ever fully work it's way out of the fabric - obviously happened due to slightly careless packaging from the factory.

Wanda looks great, too. But I see what you're saying about the wrinkle in the coat. That stinks. But she still looks great, I think. :)

Is her coat fabric? If so, one of those little mini irons might work (this sort of thing: https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/Home-Kitchen ... B002QW9URO).
