Bend and Snap Barbie legs

When did Mattel stop using the rubber bending legs? I have a Belly Button body Desiree sculpt and ai'm trying to narrow her down so I can identify her. Thanks!

Just as well anyway. The "click knee" design hasn't worked properly since at least the early 1990s. Back in the day you could get three good "clicks" which brought the knee to almost a 90 degree angle (at least until the joints wore out and the knee wouldn't hold an extreme bend, or the rubber near the joints split or got discolored). Right before they switched to visible joints or "straight" legs, the click knees barely bent at all, and often wouldn't keep their pose for crap.
