two of the NEW OBITSU 24cm. ver.2 bodies just came in, -both White skin/Med. Bust-
and they fit my two 24cm. sized girls Fabulously.

they are a 100% improvement upon the 24ver.1,
striking me as a refined development upon the AZONE "Pure Neemo"
they are realistically proportioned, down to their feet, wonderfully stable in free-stand.

the only real problem; now it's back to square one with finding shoes that fit them.

all in all, a worthy upgrade from the OBITSU 24ver. 1,
and indeed especially recommended for TAKARA "Liccarize" Character Doll owners...

the entire body poses beautifully. just try attempting a natural sitting pose like this with any previous OBITSU design.

Ooh...lovely! Do you know where can you get them? Not that I don't have a load of dolls already in that size that need working on haha...but I can dream

Licca and Jenny brand shoes will fit the bigger feet actually. Or you could just switch out the feet if you dont wanna lose your shoe collection.

Yes, but I really wish they didn't discontinue the 25cm bodies in favor of the 24cm only. They are different styles and dollmakers really need both types! :laughs: I loved the Volks 25cm Midi body best but when they discontinued them about 8 years ago, I felt the Obitsu 25cm was a decent enough substitute. Not as pretty, and a tad shorter (though both were labelled '25cm') but still good for the younger/shorter anime girl characters.

Now, even Obitsu has discontinued the 25cm body! The new 24cm is very nice and proportionate---love it!--- but many older (and some newer) anime characters are skinny things that need the slender long legged look to really pull off their accuracy. ^^;; And now the body is even shorter! Ugh!

Why couldn't they keep both styles?

I like the body.

the old and new OBITSU feet simply aren't interchangeable. in fact, i don't believe any part of them are, in any possible way.

also. i've some Jenny and Licca pumps, in a variety of colors, that fit the old OBITSU feet, -with some help- even with socks or stockings, but would clearly have no chance whatsoever of fitting the new OBITSU feet, even bare;




that said, i found this old late-90's Barbie Little Extras "Poseable Shoes" accessory pack
that contains a a couple pair of Mary Jane-style strap shoes
that fit this new OBITSU's feet almost perfectly.
too bad that they don't seem to have been made in any other colors,
besides the black and red provided in this accessory set...
