Dollieh Sanctuary

I joined in on the Granado Crowdfunding for a 32cm mature male. It was too good of an opportunity to pass up! My two Limhwa girls needed a man!
He just arrived today, and I am super impressed with him! There are a couple of things that weren't to my liking though. I'll point it out in the pictures.

Outer box was a bit banged up. The inner box fared better but still a bit dinged.






They placed the CoA directly on top of his chest which actually stained him!



Luckily, it came of with a quick wipe from a Magic Eraser



He came with optional "private parts" which was a hoot. Here's the censored one that they call "handsy" (or something like that)



The flaccid one, which is the one that I would actually have him wear, doesn't fit right. There's not enough resin/ it's too thin. It doesn't cover the magnet and it looks ugly. (Finger censored)







He has these ridiculously large heels. They extend back from his foot. It's going to make shoe finding very difficult. I might end up sanding them down. (Or have someone that knows what they're doing do it!)



Carmen is quite happy to have her man.




Overall, he's a fantastic little doll. He poses very well and the wait time was not bad at all. Granado definitely impressed me with how quickly he was made and shipped. The box felt so light that I was worried that there wasn't a doll in it!

I've written to Granado to let them know that they need some kind of buffer between the doll and the CoA, and to see if I can get a replacement for the one "part" that doesn't fit.

He's got a nice, masculine face. I look forward to seeing his faceup when you get it done. Hope you can get his 'non-conformity' fixed LOL!

He is lovely, reminds me of my Orientdoll.

See if Tonner shoes would fit him. Kemper Dolls might have something.

if you have playscale gals and guys to line him up with, I'm curious as to whether he's as lanky (21st century soldier) or as bulky as Hottoys Thor (or ZCWO riot cop Mason)

I received a reply from Granado and I'm pretty disappointed. They say that there's nothing wrong with his part, and that they are sorry that I feel that way...

And that the stain is from the signature which is obviously not true because the signature is on top, not touching his chest. So they totally disregarded everything I said. I even sent pictures.

Congrats on getting him. I too would like to see him next to some other men dolls if possible.
His feet look O.K. to me. I instead of sanding them down, which might leave him not being able to stand alone.
You could make some shoes or replace his feet with smaller feet.

I've started working on his face up and his hands.



I'm not sure if I want to paint over the black veins/ooze yet. It'll definitely make it look more liquidy, which is what I want. But I'm afraid of messing it up.

Unfortunately I don't really have other dolls (especially males) to compare him to. But I'll scrounge around and see what I have. I'll try to take some pics after work tomorrow.

Oh, he looks so cool! I'm glad to see the packaging is very well made, he looked super comfy in there. I'm very disappointed to learn they handled your concerns so poorly. I had the impression Granado was a bit more classy than that. Maybe someone can help you mod his private bit there? That is the one bad thing about magnetic parts.... but maybe a teensy bit of silicone ear plug might help that part stay put? I find them at my grocery in the medicine area for less than $2 for 6 pieces. I've found it very handy and better (IMHO) than ticky tack.

I think he looks great with your little lady dolls. Seems he has some great company at your house!!!! Thanks for sharing your little guy!
