Not a pimp van, but it'll do.

Barbie, Jenny, Fashion Royalty, Obitsu and 1/6 resins - basically anything 10-12inch/21-27cm or in the neighborhood.

Not a pimp van, but it'll do.

So yeah, I was at a garage sale and looked at the $2 pile. I found this kinda gross 90's style Barbie jeep and it was a nice compact size, light weight and looked easy to disassemble. So I decided to get it as a means for my vintage squad. The guy sold it to me for a buck, woo.

I apologise for no before pic before I dismantled it, removed the stickers via hairdryer and washed the dirt off.

Also, that's palm beach Midge rocking in the car cuz I also got her at the yardsale. She's got an inkstain :/
It was hideously pink. That is all.

I decided to go for yellow because I'm actually a big fan of G.I Joe Adventure Team vintage car customs and plus it'll be a nice excuse for Spud to say it was his car. Of course I need to print off a decal to stick on, but ah well.

I still need to tape off everything and paint the seats black, since they weren't removeable and also the windshield frame (fail wind shield since it doesn't shield you from anything like bugs or wind or flying garbage).

Also I plan to customise it like one of those hippie vans and paint peace signs/rainbows/psychedelic hoo hah but yeah.

Also, the yellow smudged and it was humid and blah blah, I'm terrible at set design.

Image
It is HILARIOUSLY small, but I'm not complaining since I barely have any room at all for vechicals and is any Barbie car really roadworthy?

Also I decided to make a wig for my Kenner Dusty doll, shove LIV glasses on her and attach ken legs to her torso. Sadly though you prolly won't see any more of her until I track down a Moxie teen body or something.

She looks a tad like Agatha Clay for Girl Genius.

She looks like Wayne's sidekick Garth had a sister, I like her :)

What did you use to paint the Jeep?

You never know, it might be road worthy. I see a fair number of those teeny-tiny cargo trucks made by Mitsubishi and Daihatsu on the streets around here, as well as a few SMART cars. This Jeep seems about as roomy as any of those vehicles.

That's awesome! I never would have thought to do that. I think those peace signs and things would go well on it, seeing as there are already lil hearts inside the wheels.
Your newly wigged doll looks cute and very happy, haha.

If you need a van (not 70's style, but just a van)...

I bought a Power Team Elite figure at a Big Lots over the weekend. He is part of their SWAT Team line (which means his hands are gloves! I'll need to fix that.).

The back of the box advertises a van, specifically the "Commander Van." Now, the back of the box advertises my sniper guy standing behind a police barricade and traffic cones he did not some with, so I figure this should be taken with a grain of salt. But the Commander Van is advertised as having "Light and Sound" and is shown as being a navy blue color with "S.W.A.T. TEAM" on the side in white and police lights and horns. A figure is inside, and it looks relatively roomy for a kid's toy. There is also a motorbike, ATV, and helicopter; all advertised as having light and sound.

So if your secret agency needs vehicles, hit up Big Lots (I didn't see any in the one I was at, but it was a smaller store).

I would give a left wing nut to find a PTE vehicle. I've only seen playsets once and it was the bunk beds or the kayak, never seen a vehicle :/ The only time I ever saw a helicopter, and you know I would have bought it, was after it had been taken out of the box and broken by kids at the store X< Was there a van with the A Team dolls that come out with the movie?

Barbie does have a new purple van thing.

My momoko girls have a purple Barbie Mustang complete with convertable top (that still works) :) I should bring that with to CCBJD for the mixbitsu dolls :)
