Barbie Lounge Kitties

I found out about this line recently while searching for Barbies with weird eyes. There were three, but only two had cat eyes, and they originally came with furry jumpsuits and lounge chairs. I'm very confused by her hair ears and crayon streaks, so will probably reroot her eventually. She has the old style articulated body, which is nice, since she's paler than Obitsu white.

I have that exact one. Just think of her wearing a wig with ears like she's in the musical Cats. It works when she's got her outfit on.

If you do reroot her I'd like to see.

By old-style, do you mean this kind?

I'd like to see a Barbie line based on the excessively realistic new Cats movie. The tagline could be, "Monsters, but for real this time!"

If I ever get around to it I'll give her grey and silver hair to match her eyebrows and eyeshadow.

Yup, but with high heel feet and in a lighter color and lighter weight plastic than the other versions of that body I have. I like the ones with proportional feet (I understand that they wanted to make the Made to Move bodies compatible with more shoes, but the itty bitty feet just look so bizarre), but I wish they had wrist joints.

I've avoided MTM because they lack twist articulation in their waist.

The waists are the biggest strength of the older style bodies, I think, and it's nice that they come in the "cinnamon" skintone, which as far as I know is otherwise unmatchable.

Emilia appreciates no longer being a rubber-legged thrift store find.

I've accepted no waist to get some different M2M body and skin tone types but most of my jointed gals are the ca2010 100 Poses with the ball jointed knees and high heel feet. I was fortunate enough to hit a sale and rebodied most of my older gals. At least the collector dolls have good articulation.

I grew up with Superstar face mostly cheaper bent or strait arm TnT Barbies so any Barbie that could use her elbows and knees is still an improvement to me.
