Old Fashioned Cook Stove!

My grandmother was cleaning out her cedar chest and found this! Not entirely sure of the origins, other than she bought it around 15 years ago. It includes some cast iron cookware, and ash bucket, and ash shovel/scraper, and a lifter for the top.

It's a REALLY good size for 1:6 scale.

For reference, Sybela in the back is an Integrity Toys doll with the Color Infusion body, Reini (front left) is an Obitsu 27cm, Sheen (center front) is a 23cm Obitsu, and Rose (far right) is on a Barbie Made to Move body.

All of the doll food is out in the workshop, where they aren't allowed unsupervised. I'd never see them again once they found the clothing totes.

Nice size for use with 1/6 scale figures. Now all you need is a log cabin to go with the stove! Better get to work!

I'm still not even close to being ready to build much. My workshop is still a mess. I got rained out on my days off this week. Of in had stayed out there any longer, the cats would have had to swim back to the house. @-@ So much rain.

Don't lean on that, girls, it's hot! *actually remembers that kind of thing in use*

Don't worry, it's not on. They haven't figured out to work it yet.

I remember too. My great-parents still had a wood burning stove in their home when I was younger. Once melted a Barbie's hair on the pipe by accident when I stumbled and bumped into it.

Mom's wood range was out in the yard for using for canning by the time I could clearly remember things, but my dad's mom still had hers in the kitchen for a very long time. I can remember her cooking on it. When I was older my parents had a wood heating stove that you could lift the top on and there was a cooking surface underneath, but mostly the only food that was really ever cooked there was beans. But my parents kept a canner full of water on there so we always had hot water handy, and a nice humid environment inside the house in the winter.
