Sindy, Mod Ken and Lovely Lady Locks?

So yeah, it was a rainy morning and I was on my job break, so I swung by the flea market down the place. I found a person selling a bunch of vapid blonde Barbies with random missing limbs, but I decided to poke around and dug through the wet bucket of dolls. I assume the dolls are a Lady Lovely Locks, either a vintage Sindy or a clone and my free moving Ken came in the mail from Ebutt.

Image

Left doll has the markings (c) 1986 TCFC on her head and
(c) 1986
THOSE CHARACTERS FROM CLEAVELAND INC.

Oddly enough her body is identical to a 90's Stacie.

Sindy/Clone of Sindy has no markings except Hong Kong on her back, though her legs are solid vinyl with click knees, her hair is thickly rooted and she has rooted eyelashes.

And Free moving Ken just wanted in on the nude action ;D

Image

I shall name her Cindy cuz Clone + Sindy = Cindy in my head. She may partake in my photostories in the form of a cockney woman since of Sindy's British roots.

Image
Cindy has attitude, lol.

Image
She fits Liv clothing well.

Image
She has rooted eyelashes but they're only a millimetre long.

Image
And now Cindy resides with the oddball Vintage gals on my shelf.

Image
Fred is especially one of my favs since he was on my "IMPOSSIBLE XMAS LIST DOLLS I'LL NEVER GET FOR XMAS" (posted on flickr rofl) and now he's not impossible... Now to go poke Santa for a Vintage Allan, a skipper doll with no boobs and a liddle Kiddle.

Image
So I have a bunch of Prince Aidan bodies from way back and so Free moving Ken looked better on this body than the slightly more manly bod.

He's named Fred as Free Moving Doll = Fred in my head.

Image
Well Fred shall be Luke's (seemingly) unrequited crush and he'll be dashing and charming and knee wobbling nice.

Image
My fav vintage men.

Image
Poor Kensington.

Image
She has a fat rotund face and I just think of Gina Lash from Angela Anaconda. Her hair incessantly frizzy and I may cut it. She probably stay on this body since the articulated Stacie body is too thin for her head.

Image
Her dress is a Hi-Glam outfit.

Image
Skyward glance.

Image
I have Two girls now...

Also a Nuclear Adolescent Turtle and Flying Monkey stalk them.

Image
Poor fat headed girl.

Haha! In the last picture it looks like the one girl is trying to get away from her!

My sister has a Lady Lovely Locks somewhere, the big gimmick with her was animal shaped clips with long colorful tails made of long brushable hair. Basically a half hour commercial for the Rainbow Brite set. If you can't fix the doll's hair she might be worth rerooting.

your kids are adorable! And yes, Stacie does look a little apprehensive about her new shelf-mate. Might be worth trying liquid fabric softener on the new girl's hair-if the hair isn't absolutely destroyed a good soak in softener might save it.

The first doll definitely looks like Maiden Fairhair from Lady Lovely Locks. She could use some new hair since it seems like she got a trim anyways. The Lady Lovely Locks head mold was used on the Peppermint Rose dolls tho those dolls have a Teen Fun Skipper sized body. It would probably be easier to find a Teen Fun Skipper sized articulated body than a vintage Stacie sized one.

Cindy is looking good! :D Oddly I don't think I've ever seen a Sindy in person.

Well, to be honest, I can't be bothered rerooting a doll so I usually try to save her hair...

Dark Angel, Stacie is becoming a bit of a Veruca... Mwahahahahahahah...

DollyKim, my doll did come with a purple animal shaped clip with long purple hair but I thought it was a random piece of stuff... *goes to try fixing it*

Katya, thanks for the tip! Turns out I do have liquid hair softner, so now my girl is taking a nice soak in the mix...

Wardah, Thanks. I might keep her on this body until such a body comes along since kid dolls are so rare. You think Barbie was one of those witches in Hocus Pocus that kidnap children and steal their youth. (Omg, that's why there's been no Stacies since forever. Kelly dolls just grow up and either hide or get sacrificed...)

Nashira, I never thought I'd find a Sindy since she's apparently British... Hmmm, strange.

I actually got a Sindy doll bed for 20c second hand this year locally so she was definitely here, though where I do not know. Go figure?

God save the Queen? XD

Very weird. Maybe Australia was the leftover haven for toys from both America and the UK. Cuz I definitely seen exclusives from both countries here...

Turns out my Sindy is from 1979-1981 since her lack of markings also coincide with this era...

Then she's older than me >D

I wouldn't be surprised if we are ,to be honest. a LOT of our stuff is imported and it often takes far longer to get here than it should...
