New photo story in development....

My dearest Berri,
I just got off the phone with my agent – she has a new script for me to look at, and it sounds very exciting! It's a major supporting role in a new mini-series – a murder mystery set in the Italian Renaissance. Almost all the characters are vampires. And we may even be shooting some of it in Italy! (though we could end up in California, or Prague. Or right here, or even in London! You never know in this business…)
Auditions are coming up soon, in a few weeks, Kelsey will let me know. I also found out that Bryan, Hajime and Erik are auditioning for parts too – I don't know if they're going for the same part as I am or not. But at least we will be able to keep each other company standing around in the green room.
Hope you are well, and Geoff isn't running you ragged all over the place. I will still be home for a late Valentine's Day this weekend. Save a place for me!
Much love, as always
Akio
And yes, Akio got the part! But I haven't finished his costume yet.
Some test shots in Italian Renaissance:
New girl! (face-up by arrowchild) Contessa Alianora dell' Aquila (played by newcomer Constanza Morelli)
She's a 25cm Obitsu girl -- and man, she is TINY, had to really shoot down the pattern to fit her. (and I have a 23cm girl to fit too...eeek!)
Contessa Alianora dell' Aquila (Constanza Morelli) and her on-screen husband, Jovan Ruthven (Hajime Morimoto)
That isn't really Jovan's final costume, but it's at least the right color (basic black).
Experimenting with backdrops. I found some very cool renaissance/medieval looking fabrics to use as wall hangings, and for costumes. Will also have to disguise the fact that most of my really nice chairs are Chinese...!
The Florentine Ambassador (outfit still in development...) practices his courtly bows.
(No, haven't given up on the EXALTED storyline, but wanted to play with some new stuff.... stay tuned!)
