I found an interesting shop near me.

Well it isn't too near but I guess a half an hour away isn't too far. It was a collector toy shop called "Tony's Toys" that I went into hoping to find vintage Barbies or My Little Ponies. I didn't find any, however what I did find was pretty interesting. Along with the old action figures including old Joes there was lots of 1/6 scale stuff in there including some by Takara, Blue Box, and Dragon as well as some things I had never heard of before.

There were male 1/6 bodies that looked as poseable as an obitsu. They were by ACI Toys, who I had never heard of. It was a body with an extra hands, neck peice and a head but I could not see what kind of head it had. The body was similar to this one:

I imagine the head that comes with it is probably a similar style. I wonder if any other heads that are less Joe-like would work with it if I were to ever get one.

Ah, that's this place I think: http://www.smartcart.com/storeon44/
They have an Ebay store too.

I don't have anything to add about ACI in particular besides that that jointing looks pretty standard for most any 1/6 guy. I'm jealous, there's aren't any stores with that kind of stuff remotely near me.

I think these are the guys I got my BBI cop from, possibly the Hussar too. And ACI is one of the few brands I don't have yet. He looks pretty good to me.

He looks very similar to the Hot Toys True Type, and it's nice they give you two different necks which opens you up to a whole range of heads. The one on the body may be a "Dragon" style. You'd have to take the head off to be sure. If the socket looks like the picture then there's a zillion factory and custom heads out there.

The ball socket in the shoulders is used by other brands, Hot Toys, some BBI, Barack Sergeant, some Medicom.

That's the place! I live in RI but Fall River is about a half hour away from me. I was actually waiting for someone who had do do something at the RMV which is in the same building. I was hungry so I went off to find someplace to get something to snack on but when I saw the store my curiosity made me forget my hunger.

This is pretty much the same as the one I was looking at:

I'd still like to know what kind of heads would work with this. Perhaps a head that can either wear a wig or has rooted hair?

Zainin, it was so nasty outside today I almost stayed inside the RMV and not go exploring. I'm so glad I did. No rain, no gain?

Do they ever have anything like what I was hoping to find in there? The 1/6 stuff was an awesome find but if they also carried vintage dolls and ponies it would be even better cause then the store would double in awesomeness.

Zainin: There isn't really any place that sells the original ones here in RI either. I have been able to find some post 2000 ones at yard sales and at this little consignment shop near me. However, the MLP Fair is being held in Pawtucket this year and I am sure there will be plenty of both there. http://www.mylittleponycon.com/

This is kinda going off course tho. I am still looking for head ideas. Would Ken or Liv Jake's head work on that type of body?

The spare neck with the knob sticking out might take a Ken or Jake head, there might be a skin tone mismatch. You'd just have to take the other neck off she shoulder knob and pop that one on. It will depend on the Ken head as most of those are split neck which might work on the neck the head is already on. Could require some surgery like cutting.

Long story short any head can fit any neck if you have enough Apoxie Putty. I put Tobey together that way. http://images.cheezburger.com/completes ... c43e8b.jpg
