Question about Obitsu's Nano Haruka head

I have ordered (not yet received) a Nano Haruka head from Mimi Woo, this one:

Now, a dolly friend of mine sent me another little Obitsu head she didn't need anymore. While I was hoping to be able to give my Nano Haruka rooted hair, the head I just got is made of a very hard, shiny type of plastic. Can anyone tell me if the Nano Haruka head will be the same..? Or is it softer..? Thanks in advance.

The little head I got from my friend:

I'm not sure that is an obitsu head- it looks more like a volks head to me. But I don't claim to be an expert so someone will probably prove me wrong.

however, I can assure you that obitsu are always soft vinyl so that shouldn't be a problem - except that it does have a headcap so that you can get in and put eyes inside her - so I'm not sure how easy it will be to root. However, again, I'm kinda guess because I don't have one myself - I just have other obitsu heads.

I know about the removable headcap, can't wait to see if it'll work for or against me when rerooting, haha! Thanks for your response. My friend said it was an Obitsu head so I never doubted her, but I'll google some Volks heads. :)
Would you be able to tell for sure if I'd show you the shape of the neckhole or wouldn't that make a difference..?
I don't care much cause I got it for free, but I'm curious anyway.

Unfortunately I've only ever had one of those hard Volks heads and I have no idea where it is so I can't say :( I just know it was hard as a rock and definitely unrootable! LOL

Looks like a Volks head to me too but I only have the soft kind. I think the one you have is ABS so it's carvable and sandable but I don't think its good for rooting hair. You can get wigs for it.

It looks like the dollfie plus heads. I had an 03 or 04...or something. xD; Look on the VolksUSA website for pictures.

I don't want to root this one, but when I got it I got scared that the Obitsu head that's on its way would be the same.
I'll look on the website :)

P.S.: How to do a face-up on such hard plastic?!

P.S.2: looks like a Dollfie Plus head indeed, but I can't figure out if it's number 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5.

Yep, it's a volks dollfie plus head. I've got one just like it.

I think a faceup on this would be the same as on any other head. It might take a few more layers to get good tooth going for pastels though.
