going to make a boy blythe and..

Well I've decided one of my blythes is going to be a male and a wolf type character was curious if I should stick with a short fur wig like this to emphasize that he's a boy Image

or do you think one like this could work?

Since blythes are typically female would the longer hair make people assume he's female even with the right face-up? He'll be wearing suits and I may add facial hair too.

Just my thought but I would try to emphasize or even exaggerate his male traits as much as possible. Possibly remounting his head on a 23 cm male Obitsu body and giving him some facial hair would help, as would somewhat shorter, tousled hair.

The only way longer hair would work is if he has some facial hair going on.

Well I kinda think that the Blythes have pretty androgynous face if you remove althose eye shadow and lip stuff going on but yeah, I still think you can play up the masculine part, especially if you're going to put him on a 23cm body, from what I saw the body can easily look like a girl. I wonder how the facial hair would work but then again, I was not particularly into facial hairs on male dolls XD

I'm putting him on a male monster high body I already have it looks adorable next to my girls body but I need to be careful or he's going to look too feminine. I am thinking he will look more masculine with short which seems to be the consensus so far. He's a pretty beat up head so I think I may build up his chin and what not to be more manly. Just kind of have fun with him. I sometimes like facial hair depending on how its done, I just thought it might help my goal of making him male. My female is basically going to be little red riding hood and he's her big bad wolf. I could just make his whole head into a wolf head but I think just wolf ears would be cute something along the lines of this

Thanks everyone! So a short wig it is now to just decide on the color and fiber or fur.

OHMYGEE just though of something to do with three mini blythes and their piggie noses that will work right in with this group I wish I could concentrate on one thing at a time sometimes.

Thanks! me too~ Might end up working on him tomorrow to keep my mind off it being the ankle-biters first day at school. Her Daddy's going to take her which is probably a good thing. I hoover too much.

another question! name wise I was toying with Adolf but of course everyone is going to think of Hilter. So Wolfgang? eh mebbe, I'm thinking something like Connor, or Lowell might end up being it. unless anyone can suggest another wolf related name?

An Obitsu with a Blythe head might need help standing up and keeping his knees strait. The head and eye mech are heavy like a large resin head.

Otherwise if you clean the face off you can do anything with it. The eye chips come out easy enough, I used the glue stick method, and replacement ones are easy to find. Pop off one spring and add a second ribbon pull you can make sleep eyes.

if you meant the Mh body I was worried but it looks pretty doable as long as the wig and ears aren't too much heavier. I can always make him have big ole feet or something if necessary. The neck is also going to need to be modded but the major suck factor so far is the fact that he's actually a bassak head someone was tossing and I rescued. So those chips are going to have to be drilled out. Not looking forward to that. Almost tempted to cheat and buy an empty mechanism. But I've already done it so I know what I'm in for. My girl has sleep eyes so I'll be doing that to him as well. Excited!

Just got to order him some new pupils from Amanda but I might hold off on that until I find his wig and ears so I know what colors I'm going for. I might go for black but greyish might be more recognizable as a wolf. Then again his Lady friend is all in Earth tones so brown may be the best bet. I think I'm going to scrap the suits idea and go with more hunter-medieval Like the newer red ridding hood movie. Plus it'll mesh better with my other kiddos. I could however do modern with them. That could be interesting since the rest of my kids are going fantasy-medieval-Victorian so far.

By the time I pieced together Freaky Frieda, face and back of head from here, eye mech from there, scalp from there, wig from there, I pretty much should have bought a whole one. I can't say if a Blythe eye mech will work in a Basalk so drilling the eyes out might be best. Hopefully the head is lighter too. What ever body you end up with balance is going to be fun.

Can't wait to see what you do with it.
