Rainbow Dash Doll WIP. Lagoona Doll.

So I had a bit of spare change and a damaged box Lagoona I got discounted made me finally set upon doing a human version of Rainbow Dash due the skin colour. I already have a blank and bald Draculaura hanging around to turn into Pinkie Pie but since I have no hot pink hair around to reroot her in, she's on hiatus, haha.

So yeah, here is my blank faced Rainbow Dash with the blue streaks removed and dyed hair. I just used Acrylic paints to get this effect...

It looks fantastic~! How did you get the colors not to bleed together?

Damn, I've seen single color hair repaints done with acrylic but this takes the technique to a whole other level! What's impressive is that you not only got a good balance of demarcation and blending but it doesn't look painted. If I'd only seen the photos, I would've guessed it was a re-root.

Oh wow! That is so great!

How did you do that??

I've done that before, but the hair got all crusty or sticky or something (it was like five years ago.. xD).

She looks so great!

That's impressive! I would never have thought that acrylic pain could be used for that purpose!

Heya guys, thanks! Personally the paint just *tints* the hair so aim to dye the bl9onde hairs and try to keep your acrylic paint to a milk like consistency. Also, keep combing the hair as it dries... I kept the hair from not bleeding together by tied them off into separate bits... It also helped the bits that touched became the secondary colour (like if a yellow bit got stained by the blue or orange bit I could dye it like that...)

Also, I painted her face... Though she turned out a tad derpy...

She just needs some sporty clothes (like a nice tanktop and jock jacket... also some goggles too) cuz you know, RAINBOW DASH ALWAYS DRESSES IN STYLE!
