Fall 2011 doll news

New season new news.

Toys R Us is having a buy 2 get 1 free on Moxies, including the Teenz, and Barbies.

Target has a bit of a price drop and an instant substitute price on Dance Livs if you can't find a Dance Monster.

New batch of Swappin' Styles Barbies out, some with spare heads and outfits in the box. TRU has a set, Target the spare headed ones.

Is the price drop for the Livs local or regional? I ask because my Target have the Dance Livs at 20.00 bucks still. They do have the prom version dolls on clearance for 6.00.

I think it varies depending on area because someone said they were substituting Masquerade Bratz for the Dance Monsters.

Definitely because I found the new Monster clothes at a Target near my doctor, no signs what so ever at my local stores. Cpt Jack started at the next TRU over and took 2 weeks to reach the walking distance one.

Some times it needs to be a team event where you send different people to different stores and call each other if you've found something. I had to do 3 Targets in a day to get the doll-clothes-accessories sets I picked up a couple years ago.

I'm reading reports around the 'net that Power Team stuff is returning to Big Lots stores (US discount/closeout retailer). So far, the majority of items appear to be 1/18 scale but some folks have reported seeing 1/6 stuff. The boxed 1/6 figures are apparently now priced at around $12 as opposed to the $9 point they've been for several years. I haven't yet had a chance to check my local store to confirm any of this.

Even at $12, the figures are surprisingly good for a play line. Since Big Lots appears to be the only US retailer selling these and they are a seasonal item (usually only available in Sept./Oct. and definitely sold out before Christmas), now is the time to get 'em if you want 'em. I've read nothing to indicate that most of the large vehicles and playsets are being sold EXCEPT for the fairly decent dirt bike. I'd love to pick up a couple of the watch towers, the "military life" playsets, or at least one more of their very nice Humvee, so if anyone sees these items, please post here. (Not eBay listings, where the prices are just painfully stupid).

Liv has two packs of wigs. One has the rainbow version which is nice if you don't want the clothes pack to get it.

If anyone has a Meijer they have an extra 25% off all their clearance toys.
I'm mostly on Tumblr now.

One of the targets has the Moonlight (midnight?) Dance Livs on clearance; one of them had them at $9.98 and the other that I went to today had them at $4.98. They weren't with the rest of the clearance toys, they were on the regular isle. Monsters are completely wiped here. lol No sign of the new fashion packs though. ;(

They are fantastic figures indeed, wonder which headsculpts are being used this year?
One one hand, we usually have them on into the year- on the other, we usually have bupkis as far as the big accessory sets. :/

Glad to see Power Team return. I regret not buying the army bunk set and have not no luck finding it again, not even evilbay. Hope I can find it this year. Thanks for the heads up.

I'm hoping it's the same heads in a way, Anderson Cooper etc, as I do need a couple more of the guys of color. I have a 'wounded' older PTE, missing a lower leg, with the same face as one of my later guys. I'm wanting a Predator Drone, Justin wants a pet, and a police play set. Check junk stores and be on the look out for M&C Toys on the mark. I found a dirt bike for $1, and my WW came in a bag of 1/6 scale fireman gear.

When these guys appear their girlfriend Kari Michelle Designer's Choice and the kid Paula show up with lots of muggable clothes. My Obitu and Volks love their KM clothes and the Paula fits many tinies like the Obitsu.
