Currently there are two different types of Pullip clones out there (not counting the mysterious vinyl-headed barbie-bodied clone KD found.):
*Angel Gate heads, which have no body or eye-mech, but have very good quality plastic and sculpting. They only come in one color, which more or less matches Obitsu WS. These heads can be found on ebay, or ordered directly from the Chinese manufacturer, but they do go through periods of "hibernation" where NO amount of searching will turn up a sales page. :-/ (ie: can't find anything right now, sorry. ._. ) Pullipjunk wrote a great article about these heads, found here
http://pullipsandjunk.com/2011/08/07/mi ... ie-pullip/ .
*Unnamed clones from Thailand (derp, previously said they were Taiwanese, but really I have no clue where they were actually made. But the only web seller I've found for them finds them in Thailand, so... there you go.), which so far have cloned Pullip, Dal and Byul. These come on type-4 clone bodies, with very brittle hands, and have fully functioning eye-mechs. (Although the eyes are VERY deep set, much like the earlier released Pullips and Namus.) The sculpting isn't great, I'm not gonna lie. They all come in a very pink skintone, and I don't think they'd match Obitsu NS very well. So far I have found only one person selling these, and she's based on livejournal. Her sales page is
http://kochan.livejournal.com/64737.html and her flickr, which has photos of everything she's currently got for sale, is

Price wise, including shipping, the Thai clones are about half of what a new Pullip would cost. The Angel Gate heads are only a little less than the Thai clones, especially when you factor in shipping and scalper prices. (Sometimes the scalpers are all you can find... :-/)
Anyways, I have both an Angel Gate head and a Thai Pullip and Dal clone. (tho I don't have any pics of the Dal clone yet. I put her on a party-bratz articulated body just recently.)
Here are a bunch of comparison photos I took of their face plates when they first arrived:
And here's how they look after I customized them:
Jenny, the Angel Gate
Joy, the Thai Clone
Together, forever no matter how long/From now, until the end of time (I put Jenny on a Crazy Owner body, and Joy on a Liv body... because I'm not that nit picky about matching skin tones.
)
And I'll take pics of the Dal clone if anyone is interested.
All in all, it depends what you're looking for in a doll. Do you want to customize her? Or do you want a doll that will be playable and pretty right from the day you get her?
If you're into customizing, the clones are pretty good for that, and won't set you back by very much.
But legit Pullips are awesome, and really far nicer than the clones. (I have two, plus 7 Taeyangs.
)
