I haven't tried posting pics yet, let alone taking them, but here's one of a couple of action dolls loosely based on the Raider of Tombs utilizing the Barbie Basics 1.0 Model No.14 headsculpt.

(Can the image go directly into a post? I'm still new with flickr and not sure how the whole image hosting thing works)

The slim version uses a modified Fashionistas Raquelle, the full-figured version is on a 1/6 TTL large bust female body. I'm really starting to like using the TTL bodies because of the smaller neck, compared to some other female action figure bodies, which is very versatile for head transplants. I have two small bust bodies that I'm using with a Liv Katie and Hayden head for custom figures of Misato and Ritsuko from Evangelion. I already have unmodified Liv Sophie and Hayden cosplaying as Asuka and Rei. Not quite ready to post pics of them yet, though.

Let me know if this thread needs to relocate.

Hi! That's sure the right forum to post this work ^_- And thanks for sharing it! These dolls are beautiful and I'm really looking forward to see you other works!
In addition, you deleted one of my doubt: I wanted to buy an Hot Toy True type female but I don't like their masculine (and pissed) headsculpt, the fact that is easy to swap head and even a barbie head will look perfect due to neck form is a really good new!
There is a guide by AlmySidaKay explaining how to directly post photos from Flickr: http://dolliehsanctuary.com/sanctuary/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=3601 is easier than one can suppose!

They look great, I especially like the one on the left since I think the full-figured body suits her better.

Being that it's the voluptuous Laura Croft- full figure body is best. :3 They both look great!

Thanks all for the comments and the link. It's actually a TTL body, not a Hot Toys Truetype, and I've measured the neck to be 5cm in circumference. The neck post is modified with some low tech 1cm wide strips of masking tape wrapped around it in such a way to keep the head attached but not come off the post and get stuck in the head. Worst trials and errors have involved trying to retrieve a lump of tape with tweezers.

I don't have any Truetypes, but the necks are definitely wider. I like the way the a lot of the character figures look, like Sucker Punch Babydoll and Resident Evil Alice, but they've yet to produce one I'm ready to buy. I'm likely to purchase my first BJD before that. : )
