Tanya Black Moon

This morning I went to a big toy shop near my university in order to adequate celebrate a successful exam with a new doll, hoping in some Monster's High, or maybe some Fashionistas fair priced than the ones in my local shop. Well, at first glance I apparently found nothing: no Monster's High, and only the creepy looking lady Gaga Fashionista with lights in the belly. But looking with more attention I made a (for me) really interesting discovery.
First, I finally found what doll was the one I used for my Lita Halford cosplay doll. A Tanya, a brand of doll I've seen only in Italy: i didn't recognized her because this doll has changed a lot in the new version, and I was still thinking to the '90 version. Second, I found this particular Tanya:

I was almost shocked. Tanya dolls were always terribly plain compared to Barbies, and this emo/scene/goth version broke all my convictions. I loved from the first glance the face-up (and I have a soft spot for strange colored hair) but the outfit is really plain, on the limit of bad manufacturing. I wanted something better on a 12 euro doll ( I can buy a fashionista for 13... and she has joint). But in the end I bought her. She has a really pale complexion, close to Obitsu white, that I never seen "in the flesh" on a playline doll, so I preferred to take her. Probably I'll try her head on the body of my Obitsu and see the effect, if it will be good she will probably became my 3rd Obitsu girl...
